Excellent resort. The rooms are spaceous and clean. Depending on the room you can get a full kitchen or partial kitchen with full bath. Depending on the room there is also a full living area. Onsite is an excellent restaurant and a cafe in the other building for breakfast. Both are available from room service but there is a 20% fee for the food. Full TV channels with HBO. There are 3 pools but only 1 is heated and open year round. This pool is very well heated. Access to the golf course and hiking paths during warmer seasons and the ski /snowboard slopes in the winter. Arcade is very lacking though as it's just a claw machine room with a foosball table.

Beautiful hotel! We stayed in a suite for a wedding. It had a full kitchen with three bedrooms. Our room had a great view of rhe mountain. I would love to come back when the mountains are covered in snow.

For paying nearly $700 for a two night stay I could not have been more disappointed. I’ve had better stays at holiday inns.

The room- very dated, not even a smart tv, and DIRTY. There were dead spiders on the bathroom floor, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, dirty/sticky knives in the drawers. The soaking tub would have been excellent to use except it was FILTHY. Literally a layer of scum in the tub and hair. It clearly was not cleaned after the last guests as a simple wipe with a wet washcloth got some of the yellow scum off. There was also this same scum on the shower head attachment. I considered scrubbing the tub myself with dawn dish soap and a washcloth but I was so disgusted by the layer of filth that I didn’t even want to use the tub anymore. There was also an old, used blunt on the balcony. Balcony screen door was torn letting hornets in so I had to keep it closed. All of the lamps were unplugged for some reason. The walls were VERY thin, I could hear the person in the next room peeing while I was laying in bed. No curtains in the bedroom, only old heavy blinds, so if you wanted a nice dark room to sleep in late in the morning you’re out of luck. Bathroom door locks were broken. Bed was very uncomfortable and pillows were awful.

The staff- clearly don’t enjoy their job, I’ll leave it at that.

The restaurant on site - I was very excited to have food on site so I didn’t have to leave but the food is not great. I ordered three meals: a cheeseburger with fries and grilled pound cake. Burger was acceptable, fries were good. Dessert was gross. A margherita pizza that looked great and the first few bites were really good until I discovered completely raw dough in the middle. A pulled pork quesadilla that was burnt to a crisp. I couldn’t believe they actually handed it to be with visible black charred tortilla shell.

Parking- sucks.

Overall experience- it’s a total party scene. If you want peace, quiet and a relaxing time then this is NOT the place to go. Drunks yelling inside and outside the hotel at all hours of the day/night. Stomping and screaming through hallways at night. Slamming doors. The pools are extremely loud and the windows do not block any of the noise at all. I could hear full conversations from the pool in my room on the 6th floor. In the mornings, a lot of loud children playing in the pools but they’re kids so it didn’t bother me. What did bother me was the hoards of LOUD DRUNK (mostly) men all afternoon, evening and night who completely overtook the hotel pool and the public pools on site. My first night I attempted to read by the hotels designated pool (also has two hot tubs, one was broken) but didn’t stay long because it was far from enjoyable. 4:30 pm. Grown men drunk, yelling, throwing beer cans around, swearing, splashing. Attempting to play catch but terrible at it so hitting other guests repeatedly. You’re allowed to bring your own coolers of drinks into the pool so they were hammered, doing shots in the pool. Smoking in the pool. I didn’t attempt to go back to the pool after that experience which was very disappointing. This was a common experience throughout my entire stay, both inside and outside. Drunks (not even just younger adults! Grown middle aged adults) there to party being extremely inconsiderate, loud and obnoxious at all hours with zero staff around to attempt to control them.

The only positive thing about this place was the spa and the fact that it’s in ellicottville. For the amount of money spent at this place, I had such high hopes that it would be a nice time but I ended up having a very...

Stayed one night at the Tamarack and was expecting a much better experience then my family did. Upon arrival we were met with not the friendliest front desk staff. After receiving our keys, we were told that elevator was out of order and we would need to walk 3 flights up to our level. Once we arrived to our room, the smell was unbearable as though the bathroom was never cleaned between guests or that there were left dirty diapers soemwhere in the room. We went back down to the front desk to see if we could be moved to another room and once again was met with attitude from the female front desk receptionist. There was only one other room tht was available that was a lesser of the two rooms, which we agreed to take because there was no other option. when going into their garage, we were met with muliple smokers while we were trying to grab our skis. I was suprised that the building would allow smoking inside the garge. After coming back from skiing we went to get in the hot tub, but was unable to because there were teenage splashing each other with no adult supervision or hotel management intervening. During the night we were awakened to a young man screaming a racist slur that starts with "N". Again, there was no property security managing the situation. We ened up leaving early in the morning because we were unable to sleep. When leaving the room, there was a stench of vomit. There were also a pile of towls that had what looked like vomit on them. I travel extensively professionally and personally. I have never been to such a poorly managed property. I am disappointed that a place that demands such a high cost per night would produce such a poor experience. I tried calling to speak with managment and again was met by a femal front desk receptionist that was rude and had a flippant attitude when asking to speak with a manger and explaining our family's experience. I was told that my comments would be forwarded to a manger but I have not received any...

Was hoping for a relaxing weekend as a couple. The ads and website make it seem like the place will be chill and somewhat relaxing. Paid for a room On slope side, studio, with kitchen, and fireplace . Got a room that was right near the elevators and right above the pool outside. It was non stop music by the pool, kids screaming, and parents just living it up. by We closed our door but you could still Hear all the noise being muffled. This went until 11pm at night. Was hoping for it to be more peaceful with great views. We clearly got great views! Was deff more a place for bachelorette/bachelor parties. Tons of ppl yelling off the elevators at 1am, drunk and hitting the walls as they came off the elevators. Kids were everywhere and running around, cannonballs in the pool. lol Just not what they advertised online. Learned our lesson we deff will not be back. We tried to move our room but they said the place was full and were really kind nasty about it. We understand, they prolly get this a lot. Maybe a great vibe for others. The views are stunning but not worth the stress or the price. Room was nice, walked in and had no cups or wine glasses in our kitchen as they were running them through the dishwasher. Thought that was strange we would have to unload the dishwasher while it was running when we arrived to our room.

Scratchy blankets and sheets. No comforter. We were freezing all night. Turned on the fireplace to keep the room warmer to try to sleep.

We deff will not be staying here as this is just not our vibe. Not the experience we were...
