Our stay at La Colina was absolute PERFECTION! My husband and I stayed for Labor Day weekend and both agreed this was one of our favorite trips of all time. The grounds are beautiful and truly make you feel transported to a villa in Europe ( I sent a few pictures to my friends and family, and they all said, "Wow! That's in upstate NY?!"). Every single detail of this place was thoughtfully decorated and planned out. The room was charming and immaculately clean, the rainfall shower was amazing, and the bed was so comfortable I'm considering buying the same mattress topper (Between the cozy bed and the crisp country air, my husband and I slept like babies). Since we're familiar with the area and wanted a low-key weekend, we ended up staying on the property for most of our stay, and we were 100% happy and entertained the entire time. The pool area was resort-like, there was a romantic picnic table area with grills, the "Stables" common area for guests had plenty of entertainment, including ping-pong, an old school Pac-Man arcade game, board games, a tv area (with Netflix etc.) with plush couches, and they have beer and cider (and fresh water) on tap for guests to enjoy. They also lit a fire pit each night and provide a s'mores kit--we had a great time roasting marshmallows and chatting with some of the other guests. Stacy and Andrew were also very friendly and helpful. Stacy made wonderful suggestions for nearby dining (Nee Nee's pop-up thai food kitchen at The Rushing Duck Brewery is not to be missed!), and she even went above and beyond to try to help us make reservations at a restaurant we were interested in going to. The included breakfast in the "Potting Shed" was also charming and delicious and something I looked forward to every morning! It included freshly baked goods and locally sourced food like jam, eggs, and yogurt parfaits. We will 100% be back and cannot wait for...
Read moreWe just got back from a magical weekend at La Colina. Not only do the aesthetics of the beautiful property make you feel like you’ve been transported to European countryside but the hospitality, incredible “continental” breakfast, personal touches, and amenities all make you feel like you have as well. Stacey goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable. She is like your personal concierge. I am usually someone that likes to overly research and plan but I lacked the time this trip. Fortunately her recommendations for dining and activities were beyond what I could have planned myself and helped add to such a unique and memorable weekend. Our trip to AOOA Farm complete with Bilou the Goose (based on her suggestion and compelling detailed description) was fantastic. I left our trip immediately suggesting La Colina to friends and family.
TIP: There are no TVs or Wi-Fi in the rooms (the potting shed and barn have Wi-Fi plus a TV though I doubt you’ll need it, it’s a great time to unplug) but room 5 is closest to the potting shed and can still reach the Wi-Fi there...
Read moreYou must visit this beautiful Spanish style country estate! The grounds, the house, and casitas are absolutely stunning! From the moment you are greeted by your lovely hosts Stacey and Andrew in a beautifully refurbished airstream you will be transported into a different time. The views and pool are are amazing. The casitas are unique and cozy. There are so many special areas on this property to while away the weekend. A morning coffee in the potting shed, a beautiful meadow with a bbq grill and picnic tables, the stable converted into a spectacularly decorated game room. Giant fire pits with beautiful sunset views. Even a pickle ball court! There are so many great fun things to do in the area, hiking, breweries, orchards, farms, and wineries but once you’re at La Colina you will not want to leave. Can’t wait to go back! Just love this place! Thank you...
