So glad we found this wonderful gem. The views are fantastic and the amenities were great. Fully stocked kitchen equipment wise, everything appeared to be clean and well decorated. Very homey feeling. My overall feedback from this trip was positive and I would totally recommend to others. We did have some cons that were maybe just specific to us, but I think worth mentioning in case they help anyone else (we were in villa D).
Our cons: -The stairs to get to the bathroom. I knew about this going in and thought “what the hey”. It was fine, but if I came back there I’d have to re-think which Villa, if there is even one without that feature. -The couch in the living room was not great. It was extremely uncomfortable, whether it was worn out or because it was a convertible couch, I don’t know. But thankfully we brought our own folding chairs because we didn’t know what the patio furniture situation was. If those chairs are more comfortable than the couch, that’s a problem. -Thankfully we did not have more than the two of us in the villa because there was basically nowhere comfortable for anyone to sit. There was the couch, ok, which fit us two. Then there was a small table with two hard wooden chairs. So there was physical space for people to sit, but if it was for longer than just a meal it would have been a worse situation. -While the place appeared to be clean, right above the head of the bed there were dirty handprint stains on the angled ceiling from, well, you can only guess. Maybe it was just an oversite from the cleaning folks, but we noticed it right away and kind of dampened the mood. Made me rethink how clean the rest of the place really was or wasn’t. -The villas are pretty close together, which I don’t think is a huge deal or anything. The only reason this was a noticed detail is, the 3 villas next to us were being rented by multiple families traveling together. They had several kids with them and they were consistently playing and running around in front of our villa, even though they had the property of their 3 villas in front of them. Don’t get me wrong, I like kids, I have 2 of my own. But I left them home. I wanted to sit and look at views of the vineyard and lake, but there were always kids running around in the line of our view. So I guess this is really more on those other guests than the actual place but something to keep in mind. -The doors to get into the villa were very tricky to open. While there were instructions on both sides of the door, it was just unnecessarily hard to open/lock.
With all that said, again it was a lovely place, beautiful views. I would consider staying there again, just maybe in a...
Read moreThe Vineyard Villas is an absolute gem in the Finger Lakes! I was looking for a place to bring my aunts, and my planning started during COVID-19 times. The website was easy to manage, and the process to reserve and select lodging was super simple.
They have three sizes of Villa to choose from, and we selected the style with two bedrooms and bathrooms. The entire set-up was easy access, especially for two older persons. Clean and well-kept, the Villas have your basic amenities and enough space to spread out and not feel cramped. They offer a stove top, fridge, and a modest selection of pots, pans, glasses, cutlery, and dishes.
The scenery is phenomenal! You have a great view across Seneca Lake, with two ponds anchoring a view of vineyards on three sides. It is conveniently located up the hill from Atwater Winery, Two Goats Brewing, Grist Iron Brewing, and minutes away from everyplace else in the FLX.
A big bonus: it's an absolute value for all you get packed into such...
Read moreThis was my husbands and I’s first time to the Fingerlakes, and not knowing too terribly much about the area, we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! The villas themselves are absolutely amazing. They have one of the best - if not THE best - views anywhere of Seneca Lake. You can’t really beat looking out over the vineyards into the lake at sunset! The villas themselves are absolutely adorable and fully equipped with everything you can need. And having the fire pits and pond to sit at and enjoy the views were an extra added bonus! They are also dog friendly, and the property was perfect for walking them and being able to have our fur babies with us!
The Villas are located so close to so many good wineries, breweries, restaurants, etc. We were very happy to not have to drive very far to get to a lot of the places we wanted to go. Highly recommend anyone looking to visit to say here. Rico was a great host, and very responsive. We were certainly be back to...
