Decent place overall. A bit more rustic than we expected. Looks like a 50's/60's Motel/Cottages Inn on the lake, maintained in working order. Some of the cottages could definitely use a fresh coat of paint on the outside, new paint does wonders for appearance. We were a bit disappointed as the online post (Air bnb) portrayed the cottage a Lakeside cottage, yet it wasn't. The cottage was a few hundred feet away, with no water view and the only view from the cottage was trees 20 feet from the front porch. But overall we managed to make the best of it, the kids had a good time. Guests in the next cottage over had booked for a week but left after just one night as the felt very disappointed and misled. Overall we were satisfied, after our initial slight disappointment. Keep in mind, only a few units actually have a view of the lake here. And although the town is Lake Luzerne, the lake the motel is at is not Lake Luzerne, the lake it actually sits on is nothing more than a large pond called Lake Vanare.

Duplex style cottage. Very thin walls. Couch is probably older than I am and very uncomfortable. Beds are not the most comfortable either. Decor is very shabby, and cabin in general is in need of attention. Listing gave the feel that each cabin would be close to the water with a view...that was not the case. Our cabin was farthest from the water and next to a road. Several other visitors driving right in front of our door to get to their cabin. Upon checkin was told that the paddleboats were "out of order", however saw people on one our last day so we waited and used that one with no issue. No number to call office, so if you have a question or concern you have to walk there. There is only 1 firepit, and it's in the "community" area by the office--not one for each cabin. Hosts were all very kind and attentive, however we were disappointed with the uncomfortable furniture and poor location of cabin.

What a wonderful place to stay, free boat usage and there are lots of fish, although mainly sunfish. The rooms are pretty basic but they have everything you need, and very clean. There's a little beach, and the water temperature is bearable, but can get cold. Exploring the lake is really fun. They have a shared kitchen stocked with all the essentials. Owners were super friendly. Would visit again, and highly recommend!

My fiance has been vacationing here every summer for several years. Now that we're engaged, we vacationed here for the first time together. Wow! Now I know why she chose to stay here and keeps returning.||Clean, comfortable cabin with king-size bed. Air conditioning (or heating), ceiling fan, color cable TV with remote, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and our cabin (#10) had a kitchenette with a kitchen sink and stove and included all necessary pots & pans, plates, bowls, glasses, coffee cups & silverware. Several other accommodations from which to choose, depending on your needs and the size of your party. Private bathroom with shower and plenty of hot water. Daily housekeeping. Owner lives on premises and is always available. Daily work done to maintain and improve the facility. ||Sandy beach on beautiful Lake Vanare. Activities include swimming, fishing, shuffleboard, ping-pong table, foosball table, basketball court & more. BBQ's, picnic tables with umbrellas, lawn chairs, lounge chairs, rowboats, paddleboats, rafts, floats, beach balls, and other toys provided for guests free of charge. Free parking. Fire pit available for evening campfires (minimal charge for firewood). A quiet, comfortable, relaxing place to stay. The village of Lake George and all related activities are about 10 minutes away. ||A wonderful place to stay, managed by wonderful people. Like visiting and staying with family. At one point I told my fiance "I miss this place already, and we haven't even left yet!" We will definitely be back to stay here again....

we had to book same-day in august when my older son was having a medical emergency at a nearby camp. after being laughed at and hung up on by other motels in the area, miraculously, there was a unit for us here- the woman, Margaret, was VERY accommodating and nice, even though we had to arrive at 10pm (we had let her know we needed to come in late). Room was very clean and had good AC and a fridge, but we were nervous what to expect in the morning.||we were pleasantly surprised- a beautiful lake with boats you can fish from, a section cornered off as a beach with area to BBQ, beach chairs, clean sand and swimming area. There was a supply of sand toys for my boys to use, and there were games available through the office- board games and ping pong, beanbags, a few others. There is a "secret" island my boys absolutely loved exploring for bugs and frogs, right next to the slide and swing set. ||Atmosphere is friendly and family-oriented, very nice. Walmart was 15 minutes away for us to buy a fishing rod and supplies. Lake George is also about 15 minutes. Just bring your own towels and soap (ones supplied are tiny/terrible), charcoal and hamburgers for the grill, and you will be set! We will be back again...
