Lake Vanare Cabins — Hotel in Town of Lake Luzerne

This August was my 2nd trip to Lake Vanare Cabins. The host Bob has always been kind and accommodating when it came to making and switching reservations. He's been a pleasure to deal with! (Shout to Marlow the dog, he's a pleasure to deal with also) ||||The cabin is nice, but it is rustic woods style. The first year it was a bit of a shock for me coming from hotels I usually stay in. It grew on me fast. The cabin was clean, there were no bugs that we saw so that was great. Lack of AC wasn't usually an issue (very few rooms have it in these cabins, which usually is fine anyway)||||Amenities are nice as well. Sandy beach area with a dock for the kids and adults. Boats, kayaks, shuffle board, ping-pong, a fire pit (it's hard to get access to seeing as many groups like to use it. The grounds are kept up...

The cabins are sweet and nostalgic. A flashback to the 50's, cute, quaint with the little charms that made life simple. The owners have taken time to make the place comfortable and welcoming. An outdoor fireplace to sit around and chat with new found friends makes for a nice evening event. A place to get away from the internet and phones. Wifi is available but spotty. Cell phone service depends on what service you have. The cabin we stayed in did not have towels or dish soap. The cabin we stayed in (#23) had a small cute kitchen. The cupboards are stocked with cookware, plates, bowels and silverware. The cabin is outfitted with hot water. The water is clean and potable. I would stay again. Relax around the common area, take a walk or a swim in the lake and enjoy the calmness...
