My family has been going to lake George now for many years at various places. I decided to try Pine Point for the first time.
We arrived early, and my wife had to use the restroom and when I asked Eddie if there was one, he had an attitude and sternly stated no, and scolded us for being there earlier than check in time!
We decided to take our 2 grandchildren out on the boats, but noticed that the paddle boats were not in good shape. Eddie cAme down on his golf cart and stated that we were not allowed to use the boats bc we have not registered yet (it was to early). I called the place up the road where we have gone a few times to see if they had availability, but the were booked. I informed Eddie that I wanted a refund, but he refused. Eddie stated that he could not give us one bc we already reserved the room, and he could've rented it to someone else.
When we finally were able to go in the room, we noticed a hair on the shower wall, and a few other flaws.
Upon check out (which is 11a), we took the grandchildren down to the lake to swim, and had the room all cleaned out and car packed. We were visiting family, that were there for a week. Eddie came down on his golf cart and sternly stated that we were not allowed on the premises no more bc we have checked out. So, we took the grandchildren and left.
Eddie has the worst customer service that I have been subjected to and not very accommodating at all! BIG mistake and we will NEVER...
Read moreWe love Pine Point we have been coming here for 25 years our kids are grown now but my husband and I still come once in a while and stay at the hotel or in "Eds old bedroom." It is great for the kids and they love the fishing, you just drop your pole in and you have a sunfish, the kids just love this and don't get bored waiting. They also have a sandy beach and swings for the kids or you can play a game of shuffleboard. There is also volleyball, basketball hoop and ping pong up by the office. The row boats and paddle boats are free and great for the very beautiful calm Lake Vanare . You can also relax in the lounge chairs while enjoying the scenery or you can take a walk all the way around the lake. The cabins are really nice and well kept and there are several sizes to fit your family with a few right on the water. They all have a kitchen in them and all the supplies you will need. The hotel rooms are very large and there is a shared kitchen by the rooms if you want to cook. Pine Point is in a great location, with horseback riding, a rodeo and tubing and restaurants close buy, some within walking distance. If you feel like venturing out you are about 10 minutes to Lake George and shopping outlets and...
