This is not an RV park for traveling RVs. The sites they had available are former sites for permanent, seasonal RVs.
Do not expect to find the standard hookups you would at any other RV park. Do not expect your sewage, water and power to reach the connections.
Expect the connections to be on the wrong sides for a standard backup site.
Expect to have to duct tape your sewer pipe to a flimsy outside PVC pipe that goes to their sewage system.
Expect to have that use the Rock's nearby to prop this pipe up.
Expect those rocks to be covered in the sewage of the people that were formerly staying here.
Expect to have to share the power box with the RV next to you. (Have hope one of you can be okay with just 30amps) .
Expect the RV next to you to be within 3 ft or less of yours. So those poor unsuspecting people can get power. Or they'd be out of luck. (See photo).
The bathrooms are clean. So that's good.
Thought you should know what to expect.
This is not an " executive hideaway" as their sign states. It's just another poorly managed mobile home park trying to boost their...
Read moreThis may be the "campground" for you if you are looking for a small rocky circle to stay in. Before coming here I understood the campground was small, but when we got there we barely had enough room to turn around and leave. You can see the entire campground while you're pulling in down the driveway. I was so hopeful after going on the website and reading so many good things. There is no main office, no store, and more importantly there was not a single person there to help us. We finally had to bother a camper we saw to find out where to go and they said "You have to call the number on the website to find out your site number". I go to call the owner and realize there is barely any service. After trying to call the number multiple times, I finally got ahold of someone who said to "find the black pickup truck" and they will help us. There was no black pickup truck. So I called him back, and he tells me "just pull in wherever you want". The call dropped right after that. Out of pure frustration we left the campground and found a beautiful KOA a few minutes...
Read moreWe’ve been to Mountain Air campground multiple times now and love it! We’ve stayed in both an RV and in the cabin and had a great experience both times. The sites are spacious and neat, with access to bathrooms, fire pits, etc. The cabin was very clean and even had some special surprises left for us! The location is PERFECT! Most things are within 15 minutes away. Mike the host is so friendly and clearly loves what he does. He was very informative and helpful with guiding us in what to do, where to eat, etc. Will definitely be...
