If you’re not the picky type, and looking for a very simple setup with a good price, this place is nearly perfect. I have a disability that affects my mobility a bit, so being able to pull right up to the motel door is great for me.
I stayed 6 nights over two weeks here, as I started a travel job at the hospital (commuting home weekly). Took me a while to find a monthly rental situation, but honestly the rental is only slightly cheaper than this place in the off-season. Owner/Management is nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and well stocked. I worked overnights, and had zero issues sleeping because the building is set back far enough from the noisy street. Mattresses were maybe a B- at best, but you could’ve probably guessed that from the price.
Owners also let me charge my plug-in hybrid SUV, which was very handy. There are several 120V outlets along the exterior of the building. Probably won’t do much for you if you have a Tesla or other type of EV, but a PHEV will easily charge overnight on those. Just bring your own charger, and ask the front desk.
One issue worth mentioning. The bandwidth limiter on the WiFi might be too restrictive if you need to work from your hotel room. Which is a shame, because there’s a decent enough workspace to set up in these rooms. I think they’re either overly cautious with limiting the network congestion, or they have a very limited amount of bandwidth to distribute. The connection was stable enough, but that could do with some improvement as well.
But in the end I wasn’t too affected by this, since I’m just the type who needed a quick shower and a quiet place...
Read moreA former friend and his sad excuse for whatever it was (nuff said) Rented a room but I showed up later from shopping at Walmart. After like 4 hours the worker with a power trip for some reason called the room and said they're gonna be kicked out if I don't leave.. What kind of rule is that? Granted they probably were smoking in the room like really intelligent people do. Against policy but I mean come on.. send a 3rd person to a room home when there's 2 full sized beds.. no wonder if ppl have a choice they don't go there.. LIKE INSURANCE IS THERE FOR A REASON.. since covid 2021i haven't been there this was September - October 2020.. If the owner cared about filling rooms he'd hire someone who'd have that place filled every night but ohh well Some day maybe they'll learn.. and for the joke about the sad excuse for her well it, even though you literally lied to law enforcement and got me an appearance court ticket i hope nothing but the best for everyone even the ones who did me wrong.. I won't stoop to your level anymore.. leads to stagnant depressing places, Killin em with kindness.. LOVE HEALS ALL.. DONT LET...
Read moreHave stayed here previously a few years back. This time was a 2-night stay during excessive heat wave. Air conditioner was not on when we arrived in early evening and room was over 85 degrees. Our room AC worked fine but took 2 hours to cool down to acceptable level. No ice machine on site but can get ice at Mobil convenience store just down the road across from Clarkson campus. Overall, a nice clean place. Linens are a bit dated but seemed crisp and clean. No problem getting extra towels. Rooms are 1960s style and small, but we'll maintained. Dish TV, microwave and refrigerator in room. No breakfast or coffee in the morning. Convenient to Clarkson University, SUNY Potsdam State and even colleges in Canton. ...
