We paid $658 ($705 after taxes and fees) for the "waterview bungalow" for one night. It was as simple as the listing was on Hotels.com: "double bed, bathroom, waterview". No amenities. Not even a microwave or cooler. No place to hang clothes.. unless you count the hooks in the bathroom. There is one dresser with shallow shelves. No chair. Just a double bed, bathroom, and a TV. The TV wasn't set up either. Took us a while to turn it on and set up (the remote batteries were put in wrong). No hairdryer either.
The restaurant opens after 5pm so you have tp look for your own breakfast and lunch. There is only one cafe in town that's 2 min away for brunch so the line is endless.. We wished there was at least a coffee machine in the room.
Beautiful interiorw.. lovely benches and chairs.. view outside of room.. deck with water and a bridge that you can drive across to the beach..where you have to pay $30 to park or walk 20-30min there for free.
The Inn Spot is still waiting for their beach permit for guests... and also has no reception desk so like us, many guests also walked into the restaurant with their luggages confused. The desk number rings with no answer. (Celia is the one who called us back after we called their sister company EP Marine.)
We did not receive any check-in instructions via text which would have been helpful. Sergio, who worked at the restaurant (?) was kind enough to let us into our room.
It seemed like the place had just reopened..and it needed to be more organized.. this experience was probably worth around...

We ordered 2 crab Basques, 2 fried calamari appetizers. Dinner we are ordering the roast duck, 2 ordered and 2 orders of the crustaceans pot pie, which sounds amazing.
Our soups came. They were very creamy and full of flavor served in a nice bowl portion, delicious. The fried calamari was so delicious, tender served with a marinara and and amazing garlic alioli.
The dinner is served. Our ducks were delicious with a nice crusty skin. The marshmallow sauce was a brown sauce with a nice marshmallow flavor. The dirty rice was was very aromatic. Our wives had the crustacous pot pie. At first glance, I thought it was kind of small, but it was creamy, delicious and very filling. It had a nice array of seafood, shrimp, lobster and scallops.
Corrin, our waitress was very nice and attentive and took great care of us. The chef/ owner Colette, came out and chat with us for a...
Read moreA real delight at the waters edges just across from the US Coast Guard Station, on Lighthouse Road. The Inn Spot on the Bay is a quaint inn not to be missed. The dining room inside is a sunny yellow with original detailed moldings painted white. The windows offer a view of the bay as well as an outdoor dining area and lawn where outdoor weddings can take place. There are guest rooms in the main house and on the property. There is a small bar too. The menu is upscale in taste and presentation. They do a series of International themed dinners into mid-May as well as a Sunday Brunch. Check their website for which State or Country they are celebrating on the weekend. Their regular menu has favorites like Lobster Bisque, Seafood Pot Pie, Long Island Duck and much more including a homemade crisp they serve at every table. As spring turns to summer, this lull is a great time to visit as the crowds are smaller and the sunsets a bit later so one can enjoy the changing skies...
