First of all the hotel is located separately from the casino. Sat 7/9: When I finally got to my room (after walking through the main casino and outside and around), I noticed no fridge. I knew there was a charge for the microwave ($35/night) but $35/night for a fridge too! I explained beforehand I have a special needs child and needed a room with both. Fine. I'll pay for the microwave but the fridge? We'll use ice. But the ice machine barely had any! Fast forward, went to dinner but my son got sick so I called the front desk and spoke to Mary. I told her the situation and we were checking out (this is literally less than 4 hours we were there) and asked if we could not be charged or maybe charged half and remove the microwave charge since we aren't staying. She said a manager would call me back. We waited and waited! No manager called. Sunday morning I called to inquire and spoke to a customer service representative -- all she said was my room was canceled and disconnected me - how rude! Tues 7/12: I called AGAIN after my credit card shows I was charged the full amount plus microwave. I spoke to Martine (sp?) and she had an attitude with me saying that I still had to be charged. I said we did not even stay overnight and the room was canceled! She said managers are not available after 9pm on the weekends (what?!) but she would forward my message to a manager. So here I am, on Thursday 7/14, still waiting! I do not recommend staying here especially if you have a special needs family member. They are...
Read moreI entered the lobby to find a disgruntled guest. There were 3 front desk workers dealing with him. I waited for over 10 minutes and wasn't even acknowledge during the wait. When it was my turn to check in, I wasn't welcomed warmly. I didn't even receive eye contact. Was told nothing about the place, where to get something to eat, complimentary coffee, nothing. I was directed to elevator. The rooms were decent however the furniture was very poorly arranged. As happy as I was to see and have a wardrobe if was placed directly in front of the king size bed meaning access was restricted to the other side of the room while in use. The TV was off set instead of being in front of the bed as in every other hotel I've been in. The "work" table was directly next to the air/heat unit so it made it very uncomfortable to work. There was no portable desk like at the Hampton Inn. The bed was incredibly comfortable even though it looked like the box on the bottom was broken. The towels are lush which was a plus. The vending machines didn't accept credit cards. The coffee in the room sounds nice however that's all that was there, coffee. No sugar or cream, so black it was for me. I would have thought there would have been some sort of enclosed walk way to the casino but no, I walked in the rain back to my room. Only 1 elevator worked for my entire stay. And even after all of this I must admit that Resorts World Catskills is still the best casino and...
Read moreA very nice hotel on its own, but please note it's is not attached to the main hotel and casino. So this is perfect if you want to be away from the hubub of the casino, but here are some things to remember.
A very important thing to make note of, this hotel is not physically attached to the Resort world Casino hotel. It is a bit of a walk to the casino floor from the lobby of the Adler.
There is an outdoor paved walkway between the two buildings. Keep in mind there is no covered walkway between the two sites, so if it's cold and rainy as it was while I was there, you are going to walk outside to get to the casino from The Adler Hotel Annex.
The Adler hotel itself is very nice, the staff was friendly and courteous. Currently (April 2022) the food available in the Adler is limited to Thur-Sun. As well as the lobby bar. But the lobby is very nice, the bar is very cool and there is a top golf simulator in the lobby. But it was closed 80%of our stay. There is a little sundries island in the lobby with some snacks and cold drinks. There are limited ice machines, not on every floor.
Notes; when you arrive if you are booked in this hotel as opposed to the casino hotel, park on the opposite side of the hotel from the casino or "upper parking" it is much more convenient. That is where the lobby is.
The rooms were very clean and very nice, there was no fridge in the twin queen bed room we started in.
Plenty of parking on...
