Pork ribs were raw inside. They gave me my take out order with half the items missing. When I went back to get the rest of my order they argued and carried on as if I were trying to steal their food. One young dark haired woman (no name, of course) was so incredibly rude and pedantic that I thought I was witnessing a temper tantrum by a spoiled child. She claimed to be the manager (but was not). Condescending and patronizing she acted out the whole bit that most of us have seen and heard from incompetent petty counter people. You probably know the routine: “Sir! Sir! Someone already picked up this order. Sir, I packed it myself. Sir, someone picked this up with the ticket.” all performed in that sing-song mocking spoiled brat voice. I had the ticket IN MY HAND the whole time and she flat out lied to my face. On top of the horrible customer rudeness and lack of service, the food was questionable. BBQ ribs were served in “soup” that was nothing more than salty brown water with half-cooked pieces of pork ribs and noodles. Inedible and dangerously raw. We got one dish with rice, also inedible since the rice was still crunchy. The shrimp dumplings were hard and dried out and were simply a small boiled shrimp surrounded by a greasy cold and dried out dumpling wrapper. The shrimp smelled awful. We wound up eating the chicken wings and spring rolls which were greasy and cold but at least edible. We then left resorts world Catskills and headed in to Monticello to find some food. I have been coming to this casino for several years, on and off. As of today I have determined that there is officially NO safe place to eat at resorts world Catskills. I won’t be back any time soon. I would encourage everyone to avoid this place. There was a time when the food at this restaurant was actually pretty good but not now. I will not be back to resorts world Catskills. They send me free room offers at least once a week. They can keep their free room. The are too many other casinos that want my business and show me respect as a paying...

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience at Good Friends Market at Resorts World Catskills was absolutely awful from start to finish.
First, the service was unbelievably slow. There was only one person in front of me, yet I had to wait 15 minutes just to place my order. Meanwhile, multiple employees were just standing around, not working, making no effort to help move things along.
When I finally got to the counter, the workers were shockingly rude with terrible attitudes. It felt like they were annoyed to even be there. When my food came out without the drink I paid for, I politely asked about it, and the worker snapped at me, saying, "Wait… it's coming," as if she hadn't completely forgotten about it. No apology, just attitude.
But the worst part was the food itself. I ordered chicken and broccoli, but what I got was essentially rice and broccoli with barely any chicken. There were just two tiny scraps of chicken—so small that when put together, they didn’t even make up a single full piece. It was beyond disappointing. I didn’t even bother eating the chicken because, honestly, if a restaurant is this stingy with portions, who knows if the food is even safe to eat? (I’ll attach a photo to show just how ridiculous it was.)
Overall, I felt completely ripped off. Between the horrible service, rude employees, and the laughably small portion sizes, this was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Resorts World Catskills should be ashamed to have a place like this on their property. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place...
Read moreThe thin looking Chinese so called manager is a complete disgrace and a failure. Unprofessional and actually a liar. SHAME ON YOU.
I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Good Friends Restaurant. Unfortunately, it was a complete disaster from start to finish.
The service was abysmal, our server seemed completely uninterested in our table and took ages to take our orders. The food was subpar, I ordered the signature dish and it was overcooked, flavorless and lukewarm. The ambiance was lacking, the music was too loud and the decor was dated. To top it all off, the manager seemed completely unapologetic and uninterested in our complaints.
Needless to say, I won't be returning anytime soon. It's a shame because I had high hopes for this place. Maybe they'll turn it around, but until then, I'd advise others to steer clear.
UPDATE: I've tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after multiple poor experiences, I'm convinced that this place just isn't worth it....
