Boat rental review - I called to reserve a boat weeks ahead of time. When I got there I was greeted by the family. The main gentlemen brought me into the bait and tackle shop. He was going to go over the map of Tupper lake. I nicely explained I have been on the lake since I was a child. The boat he set aside didn't start for some reason. No biggie. We went to set up our campground and came back a hour later. The boat that was waiting for us was perfect for my nephew and I. It was clean with no leaks. The seat cushion and life preservers were clean. He went over with us how to use the boat. It came with a tank full of gas that there was no way we could empty it in a day. He filled the gas over night so the next morning we just get in and go. One pull every time and the boat started. Hands down the best boat rental experience in the Adirondack Mountains. I will call them again next season and rent a boat a few weekends. The price and quality...

My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed here for a couple of nights in August. Our hosts were very gracious and did not charge the full price cancellation rate to our friend who had to cancel his room at the last minute for health reasons. (infection, on antibiotics and feeling too sick to vacation in Tupper Lake) Our rooms were clean and comfortable. My husband and I had a family unit which could have slept 8. The unit was large: a full and well equipped kitchen, two double beds in the bedroom and another full bed and futon in the living/dining room. There is a nice porch running the length of the building which is comfortable for sitting and looking out at the lake. We liked walking down to the water and going out on the dock, wished we had more time to rent a boat. || The other guests were quiet and friendly. The Red Top Inn gives you good value...

Let’s start off with I am not a picky person. I knew going into it that this place would be “rustic.” My kids (21 and 16) checked in first and I met them there an hour later when I got off work. When i got there my youngest needed benadryl because the room was so moldy. The area around tub and toilet was spongy. The fridge door fell off. They told us “just shut it and suction will keep it shut.” Tv didnt work. Owner came in with no mask 4 hours after i called front desk. It is not on lake. It is across a busy rd to get to lake. There were no boats to rent. Drove over to take my kayak off car and the female owner came running out and called me a “stupid american .... you cant park there.” I asked for refund immediately after that and was denied.
