Key issues from my latest experience this past weekend:|1. Disingenuous and indifferent front desk staff with complete disregard of Customer's care.|2. Horrible beds with foul urine smell and stains all over underneath the bedsheet - mattress protector and the mattress.|3. Bad management - barely anything left to eat around 8 am morning for breakfast.|4. Dishonest staff:|4.a. The 1st night - after I requested another room because of the foul-smelling bed - front deck staff said they didn't have any spare room and after about 25 minutes of waiting and contemplating to check in to another hotel - the front desk lady said they had another room that was only for emergencies.|4.b. Bread toaster was missing, so asked front desk and they responded that they were sorry - they don't have a toaster. I mentioned that pictures on the internet shows a toaster and they mentioned they never had one. The next morning - there was a toaster in the breakfast area.||Details:|1. We had booked two rooms, one for our parents and another for me/my wife and our 5-year-old. First, we helped our parents settle down in the room and then we started settling in ours.|2. Around 11pm, my wife started to put our 5-year-old to bed. We noticed that the bed smelled really bad, so I went up to the front desk and told them about the bad smell.|3. The gentleman at the front desk (didn't have name tag on) asks me what it smelled like, and I told him it smelled really bad and then his exact words were "was it smelling like that before you entered the room?"|4. I found that question to be irrelevant - not sure how I would know what it smelled like before I entered the room! Also, he was trying to imply that somehow, I caused the smell after I checked in. So, I just requested him to go and check the room for himself.|5. He came in and smelled the bed, then removed the sheets and the protector underneath the sheet and the mattress - both were covered in brown/dark yellow stains all over and it smelled horrible.|6. My kid was very tired and sleepy and the lady at the reception and the gentleman who came and checked the room told me that they didn't have any other room and that they will check for a spare mattress.|7. All of us left the room (room 133) and after about 25-30 minutes of waiting outside the room, the lady and reception told us that they did have another room across our room. I went to the other room (134) and checked underneath the sheets, the protector and mattress were also covered in pee stains, but it didn't smell, so we had no choice but to shift to the other room and knowingly sleep on pee stains covered bed.|8. The next morning, around 8 we all went for breakfast, and it was a complete mess, floor was messy, there was no food left, there were some pieces of bread but no toaster. Asked for toaster and staff mentioned they didn't have one. The next morning - there was a toaster in the...

Read moreI frequent Marriot locations; however, this was by far the worse experience I’ve had. If I could give a 0, I would, but I oblige the rating system that’s here with a “1”. There was a progression of things gone wrong, which was heightened by the fact that I had a cluster of other hotel options in the area…but I chose this place due to its ratings.||First issue was that I’ve booked two rooms, both of which the TV’s were inoperable. Room one’s TV was frozen, lagging and none of the remotes worked. I’ve requested a remote that handled the selection options, but TV was still completely slow in selecting channels. Room two’s TV had the same problem. But each time I’ve gotten a new remote, a new issue arose. Initially the TV would not select channel options. After switching remote, the TV volume and power off wouldn’t work. 3rd time, given a remote, volume worked but TV would not shut down. There was no disconnect option, so I had to “sleep” the entire night with the TV on, which lead to NO sleep.||Second issue was breakfast, which was held 7:30-9:30AM. We were downstairs at 8:30. Where do we start? The options were below Motel 6 standards. The only food options we had were scrambled eggs and sausage. I asked where the waffles are, the staffer replied, “The waffle man didn’t come today.” There were NO carb alternatives, e.g., potatoes. We only had sliced bread and a 2 selection of bite size muffins. There was no yogurt or oatmeal. Oatmeal was in “the crockpot and will take 45minutes.” I asked about fruit in which 2 apples and 1 orange sat deserted on the fruit rack.||Thirdly, there was hair in every conspicuous area of the room: the sink in the bathroom AND the shower soap rack. This room obviously was not cleaned.|The pool wasn’t cleaned either. Given its small size, it should have been attended to. ||Lastly, I wanted to complain and reconcile while at front desk, but no one was there. I was already billed the morning of and felt slighted and unheard upon my exit. Hence, this review. ||Overall, my overall, small R&R overnight stay here was everything but that. I went home with bags under my eyes, hungry, and disappointed that my charge for 2 rooms at $400 each...
