Life is made up of a bunch of experiences. They are all good, it's just that some are better than others. My stay at Little Bluff Inn ranks very high on great experiences. I had originally booked for 2 nights but later needed to change to 3, arriving a day earlier than expected. Online it said they were full so I couldnt change my reservation. I called the Inn direct and Julie worked her magic to accomodate me. I am on a solo motorcycle trip frpm Ohio and when I got here and Julie checked me in, I went to get on my bike and go to my room My battery was stone cold dead. Julie came over with her golf cart for me to use to get my stuff into the room and secured. I then tried jumping the battery and another fella came over to help but it wouldn't start. It was after 5:00pm but Julie looked up an auto parts store in the next town that was still open then handed me the keys to her car so I could go get a new battery. I got the battery and we were good to go again.|This is the kind of Hospitality, Generousity, and Kindness the owner extends to her customers. It reflects on how she runs her business and carries over into the quality of rooms. There is garage parking for my bike if needed. There is social interactions amoung the guests staying here. It is a very friendly and comfortable place to stay. I know you will not be...
Read moreExcellent hotel. The woman who owns/runs it loves her hotel and her job. She is very attentive to your needs and responds quickly for anything you need. Just excellent service.||The rooms are cute and different depending on what you book. My wife and I had a single queen and it was very nicely appointed with all kinds of extra's (like dental floss, tons of coffee pods, coffee creamers in your fridge, etc). The bathroom was small but very adequate. Our daughters stayed in a double queen room. Their room was larger and had a large bathroom. Overall the rooms are very comfortable. ||The property itself is situated in a quiet part of town with walking to coffee shop and various shops. There is a fun hiking trail at the back of the property, a wonderful communal firepit with plenty of wood and comfortable chairs, a really nice fish cleaning area (if you fish), a community room with extra refrigeration, coffee, microwave, popcorn, etc. You don't have to book the community room - just show up and meet people - or have to to yourselves. There is also a gas grill to use and abundant outdoor seating.||I could go on and on....we had a wonderful stay and would stay again in a heartbeat. The only drawback is there is a train track that has heavy traffic nearby. It didn't bother us but I had to mention it for full disclosure...
Read moreJulie, the innkeeper at Little Bluff Inn, is fantastic! She went above and beyond with thoughtful little touches that made our girls’ weekend truly special. When we arrived, the rooms were beautifully set up, and there was a door code, so no worries about losing keys. Julie recommended great spots for lunch and gave us ideas for things to do around town. The town itself is charming, with a few cute shops and dining options.
Our room was super comfy, with a fridge, microwave, and a table. Outside, there was a cozy chair and blanket thoughtfully set up by Julie, perfect for taking in the view. We took a short hike to see an incredible view of the Mississippi River, including the lock and dam, and discovered it’s also a Native American archaeological site—such a cool surprise!
The beds at the inn were incredibly comfortable, and there’s a common room where groups of three or more can gather. There’s also a fire pit, though it was raining during our visit, so we didn’t use it. My friends and I are already planning a summer return trip to enjoy the...
