Overall, it was a great getaway, but there were some issues we experienced that we wish could've gone better. The AC and the fridge/freezer stopped working at one point. Because of this, when we slept overnight, it got really uncomfortable and we saw that the AC had a message that showed "E4" which we assume indicates an error. We tried everything we could with the remote to have the AC blow out cold air, but nothing worked. The fridge just wasn't cold at all when we checked the next morning. It's a good thing we didn't have any food that needed to be kept cool, otherwise it would've gone bad. We used the fold out couch but when we assembled it, it was a bit dirty. The pillow covers had a few stains on them with a little yellow mark which grossed us out a bit, and some of the sheets had similar stains and was not cleaned properly. I see that some of the reviews here say that this place is pretty clean but I guess it's a hit or miss situation. In the end, we had a great time staying here. Ptown is a fun place to visit and the beaches here are very calm and relaxing. The breeze just makes the trip enjoyable. They also don't allow check in time earlier and seemed pretty strict about it. I think a little flexibility goes a long way to encourage the customer to leave a better review but that's just my opinion. Check in was at 4pm but we got there at 3pm just to see if we could try to get there early. There was cleaning lady at a different cottage and we asked her if we can check in to our cottage and she said "yes it was all set" (she was very kind too!). So turns out we could check in early after all! I suppose the Truro service just didn't want to deal with coordinating an early check in, which is...
Read moreIts a great location, right on the border of Provincetown; about a 10 to 15 minutes walk. We stayed for 2 nights in Cottage #6 which was comfortably accomodating for 4 people. The place is quaint however there are some updating and repairs that needs to be done. The lights were oddly placed where there was no overhead light in the kitchen nor by the refrigerator; granted the cottage house is quite small it was difficult to prepare dinner in the kitchen in the dark. The bathroom is rather small so if you are taller than me i'm 5'7" then you will be having a struggle and it will be a challenge to use the toilet and shower. Overall, my favorite part is the barbeque grill area and the relative closeness to the beach area, which isnt really a beach meant for swimming but just for the scenery and the view. I will say that its a perfect location because it is relatively close to Provincetown but far enough to have your own space and peace of mind.
Btw: parking is limited to one vehicle and there is no ac unit so be prepared to feel hot in the...
Read moreFound this place while looking to stay in Cape Cod for a couple days with my husband and son for my birthday. I had never been to Cape Cod before so I knew nothing about the area really. I read reviews and it sounded amazing! When we got there, everything that I had read in the reviews was right on point. We loved having everything we needed right in our little cottage #9. We loved the short walk to the beach and all of the accomodations that were available. I never plan for my birthday usually because plans seem to fall apart but this is one experience that met every expectation and some. Amazing little get away. And my son wants to come back for his birthday he loved it so much! Thank you so much for providing us with everything we needed for a truly...
