Scottsman Motel — Hotel in Tucson

This place has irritated me from the start. No one ever stays here except the people who "run" it, and it's way overpriced; because the owner knows he can overcharge when weary travelers are exhausted and just need to crash...

So i reluctantly give 2.5ish stars and ONLY due to the full-size refrigerator, which honestly isn't the great anyway. Staff is virtually non-existent aside from taking your money at check in, or getting back their remote and key at check out. Oh,and don't be late checking out. You'll be banned from staying there forever if you stay passed 10am, even if circumstances are beyond your control because you totaled your truck days prior and were relying on Lyft- never again😒 But don't worry, it's not actually a loss if this happens to you. Not only are you in BFE paying double what you will at an extended stay or motel 6 in town. You get the added pleasure of living like you're in the 1950's! The rooms are completely outdated and in serious need of new furnishings.

I personally never stayed here. But, my daughter did. But on the few occasions I did go by to see her. It was always quiet the inside of the room looked clean enough. A little out dated but compared to other motels on Benson Hwy it could very well be a resort! No roaches! I don't know their rate. But, I do know you can rent daily, weekly, or monthly. Plus, they own the laundromat that sits directly next to the motel ( also very clean n kept cool in the hotter months) I think the owners should invest in a pool for the motel that would definitely bring in more customers. And they could also charge people that aren't staying at the motel a entrance fee just for using the pool. In time it would...

Very nice motel. It's a bit deceiving from the outside because I want expecting the rooms to be as nice as they are. Their is a very comfortable bed to sleep in, full bath and shower, mini fridge, microwave oven, cable TV and Wi-Fi included. The property itself is very clean and the staff are all very nice and welcoming.
