Sooo,I was a little hesitant about staying here. It's not known, and I had to find somewhere for 2021 graduation at University of Texas at Tyler bc everywhere else was booked. So it's an older hotel/ motel.. there are only 3 buildings total. This place has new and old combined in their room setup. Ie the baseboards and the towel rack. The bathroom ceiling wall crevices need some cosmetic attention, but for the most part my apprehension was diminished with the cleanness. I did the sock test as you can see in 1 of my pics, I walked the whole room and my socks were CLEAN and under the bed CLEAN!!! It may not be perfect, due to it being older but I mean come on big hotels have cosmetic issues too. I guarantee that I could not have done this at a hotel chain. I actually walked barefoot on the floor, something I very seldom do if at all. The bed slept great, and the pillows were soft. The staff was nice and quick. It was very quiet at night except for the occasional young person w music blasting late at night. I was a female alone here and I was fine, they also have cameras on the property. Unfortunately, I left my back passenger window down the last night I was here and was parked way away from my room by the fence and it rained. NOTHING WAS MISSING FROM MY CAR!!! There are a few things that need attention cosmetically.. but this place is going to get where it needs to be in a few more years. I would most definitely stay...

The blanket had burn marks in it, the chairs were ripped up, the sink area was dirty and when I took my shoes off I could feel the dirt on the ground and the bottom of my feet were BLACK in two minutes, and trim on the floor between the bathroom and living area had completely broken off and tripped you. When we asked to move rooms they tried to CHARGE US to move rooms. They eventually moved us to NON smoking after checking that we had requested that to begin with. The second room was a whole different thing. The smell was fine, everything was clean, nothing was ripped or damaged. The only complaint I’d have is that the bed was a bit uncomfortable. But having seen the first room I’d say staying here is a serious gamble as the rooms are hit or miss at best and if you get a bad room they’ll try to charge you to move. Save your money and go to the motel 6 down the road near the car dealership. Same price, WAY...
Read moreOkay, let me start by saying that this is an inexpensive, no frills kind of hotel, which is what we were looking for. The fiancé and I just wanted a place for the night to have a little downtime and relax without interruption for a reasonable price. This was the perfect place for that. The room was clean and comfortable and well insulated from the outside noises. Lane (the gentleman at the front counter) was very courteous and helpful with the entire check-in process. The only reason they are not receiving a 5 star review is because their pool was closed without explanation. Normally, I wouldn't care about the pool or even care if they had one at all. However, we decided (when we were looking for a room) that we would get a room with a pool and bring my youngest son with us for a while in the evening so that he could swim for a while. So, needless to say, we brought him with us to swim only to find out that the pool was closed. It was a real bummer. If you are going to advertise that you have a pool, then it needs to be open during the hours it...
