Normally I'm okay with cheap hotels, they serve as a means to an end. But this was capital B Bad. It started when I went to check in. The man at the counter seemed nice, gave me my card, and I was able to get to my room. I was in town for a wedding, so I changed into my suit. As I was getting ready to leave, I got a knock at the door. It was the man from the counter, saying something was wrong in my room, something about the TV, but he didn't say specifically what. The entire time, the door was open, so I didn't feel too uncomfortable. But I watched him mess with the TV. He was just scrolling through the TV settings, not actually fixing anything, and the TV was working FINE. At this point I got a little uncomfortable so I grabbed my bag with my laptop, and left for the wedding. I chalked it up to him just being weird or maybe me not noticing something was actually wrong with the TV. I left, and as I did so, the man followed me out, saying if my card didn't work later, to come over to him and he would fix it, and that he could also "fix what was wrong in my room." Fast forward to after the wedding, I'd just gotten back to the motel. For context, I hadn't had anything to drink (it was a non-alcoholic wedding), but I was tired, so I ended up going to room 117 instead of room 109. My card didn't even display the little red light that lets you know it's a wrong room number, or the green light, so keeping in mind what the man at the counter had said to me right before I left, I went to his desk. He accompanied me to my room, and upon looking at the card sleeve I had, he realized my mistake. He went to the front desk, told me to wait by my door (109) and fixed it. At this point, most normal people would say "adios," or "goodnight" or something sane. He didn't. He used the card to my room, waited until I entered, shut it behind me, and went about "fixing the TV." This involved turning on some hunting show and turning the volume up incredibly high. After he did so, I set my bag down, and sat at he edge of my bed, creeped out so bad. He said "get comfortable, don't mind me," so I took off my shoes. At this point, he stepped within INCHES OF ME, so close that I got up and stepped away from the bed, saying "get comfortable, I know your situation," while pulling back the top sheet. He then offered "a message, no charge for you." To both of these offers I said "no thank you, the second "no thank you," being said very forcefully, because my brains was screaming that this was bad. At this point, he left the TV alone (which I must once again add, was perfectly fine), and started fiddling with the lock at the door. First he locked it, then he gave a kind of "oh well that's weird," shrug, and then opened the door, but hesitated right before the deadbolt unlocked, like he was hoping that it wouldn't work. It did, and he walked out, and then upon realizing he had completely closed the door, started knocking at my door, asking to be let in again. I didn't say anything, and he went away eventually. At this point, I was very scared and very aware that I was both alone, and had parked my car at the wrong room (because I'd gotten my room numbers confused). So I had to frantically call one of my friends to come walk me to my car, and wait 20 minutes wondering if the guy was somehow going to figure out a way in after I'd deadbolted it. He didn't, and my friend came and got me to my car okay. But if I had let that front desk man back in, I am scared to think what might have happened. Please, if you think of staying here, reconsider....

Read moreI've stayed in Super 8 hotels in many places and none of them are just great. That's why they are cheaper which is the reason I got it. But this one is by far the worst I've ever seen. The staff have been really nice and helpful but that's the best thing I've had this entire stay. I booked on hopper so my room was already payed for. Upon arrival im told i need to pay a $60 refundable security deposit. Ihave yet to check out but I've read reviews saying they usually won't pay it so well see how that goes.. When I checked in and got to the room I had to try the key card about 20 different times before it would work. Upon going in the room, the bathroom had no towels and one of the complimentary soap bottles was half used. The coffee maker heated up but never sent the water into the pot. The next day when I went to get the free breakfast it consisted of pre packaged muffins, lil cutie oranges and cereal. No coffee in the coffee things, milk in a pitcher so don't know the expiration date on it or how long it's been in there, and juice. No hot breakfast or anything. The laundry consists of one washer and one dryer sitting outside where anyone can have access. And the dryer wont dry your clothes fully on high heat setting. Fast forward to my boyfriend coming to join me and I got an extra key for him and it did the same thing. He works nights and I've been working days so when I'm there he's not and vice versa. Every day this week when he comes in from work he has to get his key card reset to make it work. Then when I come in from work I have to get mine reset. It's like only one key will work for the room at a time. I'm staying for a week so I can be in town for work until I can get into my new apartment and housekeeping has not come by once. No new towels or toilet paper change or nothing. I'm having to take my old towels down to the desk to get new ones. If you need a place to rest when traveling this place is alright but if you want a vacation or a stress free time this...
