Absolutely avoid at all costs. Terrible customer service. I am not one to write reviews as this will be my first ever, but I cannot express how awful the customer service was at this location. I called this location to request a special check in time as I knew my flight would be getting in extremely late. Best western was able to satisfy my request and said that there would be a room waiting for me. Traveling alone, I arrived to the hotel late at night where the manager refused to even let me into the hotel (after hours they have an intercom system for safety purposes). She stated that all the rooms were booked and that there was nothing that she could do for me. I asked her to come to the window at least to view my confirmation for that night, to prove I had a room reservation. Again, she refused, and stated that even if my hotel confirmation was there, they were full, and she could not do anything for me. Coming from the East coast and a long day of travel I was frustrated, clearly. What really prompted me to right this review though is I am a young woman, who was traveling alone, past midnight, there was clearly a mistake on their end, on the side of the country I have no familiarity with, and no offer was made to assist me in finding another accommodation for the night. Any type of hotel who leaves someone stranded at 2 in the morning after a mistake on their end obviously does not care about their customers. I ended up cancelling the remainder of my reservation and staying at the other hotel (I found myself) - recommend the Hampton Inn Ogden. Again, I am not one to write reviews but any travelers should avoid this hotel at all costs due to the lack of professionalism and hospitality displayed by...
Read moreBeware! There are many other friendly and hospitable places to stay in the area. Save yourself the grief and inconvenience of booking here. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. We had to make an unexpected trip due to a death in the family. This was our last hotel stay after a week of hotel stays and driving 13 hours. My husband and I have just been married and I didn't get the chance to change my last name on my credit card. The clerk refused to give us a room because my last name was different on my card. I explained our situation to Angelo and was met with "i don't care", he was concerned about fraud. I offered any form of identification to prove my identity. He would only accept a credit card with a last name that matched my ID. I could. Ot produce this. During my explanation of our circumstances he began to laugh telling us it didn't matter. We were exhausted and I began to cry realizing we had to find a different hotel to stay for the night in a strange town. Angelo continued to laugh and was rude when I asked why he was laughing. When asked if we would charged for the room the response was "you bet I will" as he laughed. Checked my bank this morning and sure enough he did. I understand policy but do not understand the rude, unprofessional, arrogant lack of compassion from one working in the hospitality industry. We promptly headed over to a competitor and had a wonderful stay. Unfortunately, this hotel has stained the good name of Best Western and we will not seek this chain out...
Read moreWe made reservations for a late arrival on a Saturday morning. The doors to the front were locked when we arrived. We used the designated wall phone to call the front desk as directed. We called 3 times and then used our cell phone to call before someone came to let us in. Jake, the night manager, was personable and we checked in immediately. The room was very spacious and semi-clean. We stayed in a 1 bedroom King. There was dust all over the night stand, lamp, and other fixtures. The carpet had crumbs and other debris under the only table in the room. Like said, we arrived shortly after 1:00 am. After getting settled in and heading to bed, we were awakened by a train blaring its horn. We were unaware that the train was so close to the hotel and that the windows and walls in the facility would not deafen the sound. We were also woken up several times by flushing toilets, showers, water running through the pipes in the walls, and doors from other rooms closing. So to say the least, if you are a light sleeper, you will hear every sound this hotel makes. The continental breakfast had an array of choices. I would have liked to see fruit. They had hash browns, sausage, a pre-made omelet, muffins, cereal, waffles, and a pastry. They did have orange and apple juice, milk, and coffee. Overall I would say our $100.00 was not well spent but could have been worse. We would have chosen a different hotel, knowing that we would not...
