I suggest staying at the Holiday Inn. I was there for one night for a funeral. I checked into the first room and the scent of whatever deodorant they use to spray on their carpets was so strong I opened the window and you could still smell it in the hallway. I have asthmas and migraines so that didn’t go over well. I tried to just deal with it but after about 30-60 minutes we talked to a room attendant and they offered us another room. This room had the same scent but but quite as strong so I switched. We went to the hot tub later in the evening and it wouldn’t turn on. Apparently the sauna didn’t have power either but I didn’t try that. Slept (relative term) on the worst bed I think ever in a hotel. Took a shower in the morning and went to dry my hair and the hair dryer didn’t work. Now I was behind schedule and already stressed out about my grandpa’s funeral. Got a new blow dryer from the desk. I forgot all of my toiletries in the shower. Frankly I don’t care bottles of shampoo and conditioner, the full toothpaste or toothbrush but there was a full bottle of very good face wash and I called to ask if it was put aside so I could send someone to get it. I was told no!! It was probably thrown away. Thrown away? Who throws away someone’s toiletries? I could understand if one item was left in the shower but it was crystal clear they were forgotten. Needless to say it’s my own fault. I did forget them but I would not...
Read moreNice big room with refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Nice big indoor pool, spa, and sauna. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was roomy and hot. Lots of channels available on the TV. Very clean and they provided lots of pillows and extra towels in the room. Hot coffee was available just down the hall in the lobby around the clock and the room card allowed entry into the breakfast room round the clock in case plastic silverware, paper plates, or napkins were needed. Breakfast was typical for Best Western: eggs, sausage, cereal, waffle maker, yogurt, toaster, small selection of donuts, muffins, and bagels. Coffee, tea, hot cocoa, milk, and 2 kinds of juice available. We have stayed at all the chain lodging in town and this is the best. In addition it is right next door to the grocery store and just down the street from a super Walmart and Dollar Store—-very...
Read moreThe hotel smelled very clean and for the most part was except for the details. The air conditioning was not working very well, so I pulled out the air filter on the front of it and it was caked with ice an inch of dirt and dust completely blocking the air flow. I’m surprised the thing hasn’t over heated of burned the compressor up.
Both beds my wife and I slept in was extremely old and worn out to the point of needing to be replaced. One of the beds was so bad my wife turned of in bed and literally rolled out of bed on the floor because it has zero support.
The hot breakfast was ok but the bread items they had were old and dried out with very stale cereal.
We had to call after we left to check because the front desk lady was outside smoking and taking on the phone and we couldn’t get her attention.
Come on...
