My husband lived in the next town over (I'm from MI with years in NYC). We decided to look around him for a wedding venue and I was floored at this gorgeous hotel. We ate there the night before our appointment because I'm gluten intolerant and I was stunned. Local farm to table but NYC quality made my NYCer heart sing.

We couldn't have been happier with our decision to have the wedding at Hotel Versailles. They couldn't have been better about helping us plan and being BEYOND accommodating. The entire staff has become like family and we absolutely love coming back.

My friends and family from NYC, SF, Scottsdale, even the Netherlands were floored at the beauty of the art deco hotel, the quality of the restaurant, and hospitality of ALL the staff.

We did a weekend event and rented out the entire hotel. It made it extra special.

The beverage director Samantha connected me with a hair stylist (that worked at the hotel!) and she made my dream come true of an opera singer for my ceremony - also works at the hotel! Just from asking if there was anything else we needed to secure in our planning.

Jordan helped us coordinate the event like an absolute pro and Brittany...holy moly with boots on the ground and every detail. Brittany has moved on but Tina was just promoted from within and she's a rockstar.

Part of writing this review was also because I wanted to share that this quaint and rural community really has it all. There are musicians and talent everywhere. Sidney Flower Shop (111 E Russell Road) - Betsy and team did amazing flowers for us and my husband has been going there for 20+ years. They even pulled lavender from their own garden to put in my bouquets! Make Up - Local make up artist Trista Noe is spectacular (IG: tristanoemakeup) Photography: Kristin Allen is a phenomenal Photographer in Sidney OH (IG: kristinallen_photography) Opera Singer: Look up George Brahler on YouTube - former Air Force trumpet player and singer extraordinaire!!! Holy chills Batman! Cake: Our daughter has her own bakery and did the cake/cupcakes, located in Sidney. She even made them out of an organic flour from Italy to avoid allergen issues for me and several of our guests. (IG: Chronically_sweet_bakery) Dress: From a donation shop in Ann Arbor that is a charity. Proceeds go to help cancer patients in the area. The link at the bottom gives the story as posted by our photographer and tags the shop. (IG: thebridesproject) Dress and Tuxs: We had already paid for tuxes from MW. :( When I was trying to find hair and makeup, I called Heidi at Antionette's Bridal, right across the street from Hotel Versailles. She was the kindest person even though I already had my dress. She also has connections for tuxes and local vendors. A long time local, former hair stylist and a kind soul, I cannot thank her enough. She helped connect me with Trista and helped me source more locally. She also started sending donations to the Bride Project after I told her about it. LOVE! (Website: antionettebridal.com) DJ: My husband's ex-wife and her husband actually DJed our wedding. He came out of retirement to help us out but there are local DJs. Ours was July 6th and we pulled it together quickly so it was hard to find someone who wasn't booked or on vacation.

I cannot recommend this venue more. It's a gem we want to be there for decades to come. Link to pics and dress story:...

Outstanding experience! Front desk staff were attentive, engaging, and helpful. More in a moment, but first, a few minor things I might suggest... there was an iPad in the room for all things, but no clock. perhaps the screen saver on the iPad should be the time in red letters when the room is dark? Since I have to use my passkey in the elevator anyways, perhaps it can know which floor I am going to? The order of steps to use the elevator aren't clear that the key must be scanned first then the floor chosen so a 2 step instruction sign might be useful to minimize confusion by new guests.

Parking was ample but unsure if it is sufficient for large weddings/events as there were only a few people staying there on the Sunday evening we spent there. The handicapped parking spots were farther from the entrance than half a dozen other general parking spots, which seemed odd as most facilities put those as close to the entrance as possible, but these were not crazy far to be a problem for most guests. The transition from parking lot to the hotel entrance was smooth and easily traversable by those with limited mobility/wheelchair. There were accessible buttons to open the doors so even wheelchair bound guests can enter without assistance.

In the room, the snack box and drinks in the refrigerator were well chosen and locally sourced. Bed and pillows were super comfy. climate controls were well positioned and responsive. Nice view onto main street for front rooms. Plenty of power, USB A and C ports around the room. Desk was spacious and the provided chairs were comfortable. The TV controls were a bit unorthodox (accessing the guide was unintuitive and was not interactive - channels needed to be entered numerically.) The channel content looked SD quality even though TV is clearly HD capable. Seems the content is likely just OTA , not cable/satelite sourced. Economical solution, just a bit clumsy to use. However, you can stream Netflix, etc... to the tv for higher quality custom content using the free hotel wifi, after authentication/confirmation you are an authorized guest.

The bathroom door swings a bit close to the toilet if someone is already on it. The shampoo/body wash/conditioner bottles are glass so are get very slippery when wet and opened; hard to get the contents out with such tiny non-squeezable bottles, but was good quality when finally got the contents out (conditioner was the hardest as it has such a high viscosity.) While the bottles are "fancy", they are less than practical in a shower environment.

Overall, a wonderful experience and certainly just as elegant and well appointed as other high end properties I have stayed at, such as the Arizona Biltmore. Look forward to staying here again when in the area for other events at...

Nice hotel, but their food service on the weekends leaves a lot to be desired. They have no restaurant on Sunday and Monday, which is a real is a drag. I wouldn't have booked a stay here if I had realized that was the case, but we tried to make the best of it. Arrived Saturday afternoon and stayed until Monday morning. Was hoping to have lunch Sunday at the hotel but was told the restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays, and on those days all they have is a breakfast buffet in the morning. But they don't even have their act together during the morning on those days. They have coffee urns, but they don't have coffee in them for guests, and you have to go to the barista instead to get just a cup of coffee. The trouble is, they don't have enough staff to serve people, so you wait forever, because it take a really long time to make people coffee by the cup, and when there are several people all wanting coffee in the morning that is going to back up. So, why not just brew some coffee and put it in a coffee urn that is sitting there empty? That is puzzling. It was also disappointing that there was no one at the front desk at 9:30 am. I was trying to check out and there was no one there. I waited for 5 minutes or maybe even longer. I looked around and there was the barista making people coffees, but there were several customers waiting for that, so I couldn't ask that employee for help. I looked all around the first floor of the hotel and finally found someone. The scene was very disorganized. I don't understand why you have such a nice facility and not staff it appropriately. I won't be staying...
