Lovely space! This property is run like an AirBNB with electronic, self-check-in. My son and I stayed in one of the rooms with two double beds. The rooms are located upstairs in what I would call a historic building. The brick on the wall, the hardwood floor, and the high ceiling gave the room a certain charm. The beds were comfortable. Our experience was positive, and we'd definitely choose to stay again next time we visit the area. There are some things that you'll need to know before staying: (1) There are some really steep stairs. (2) There IS a refrigerator and microwave in the entry lobby that guests can use. (3) The wood floors squeak REALLY loud in the middle of the night, so if you're trying to get to the bathroom without waking up someone else in your room...good luck! (4) There weren't an abundance of outlets near the beds, so if you need both your phone charger plugged in and a CPAP like I did, you may want to bring an extra power strip.

I stayed by myself in the Pullman room - very spacious, modernly decorated and loved the old time vibe of the original wooden floors. With that said a few pointers to others staying at this room: if you are a light sleeper and ha others on the room, be ready to be awaken with the cracking of the original floors (no issue for me since I was alone); if you are 5'2" you might have issues seeing more than your face in the bathroom mirrors and might have issues reaching the pipes meant to hang clothes. I am 5'9" so I was fine - plus there is a full body mirror in the room. Lastly no hangers. I spread my clothes on the extra bed, but if you are traveling with others either bring hangers or plan to buy. Not many stores locally, so bring with you if you are coming from a bigger city. Overall I loved my stay and appreciated the owners quick response to everything. Best place to stay in Victoria until the owners get the new property up and running! ; )

  1. No hangers (they say people take them but for 50 cents I can buy a bunch at a flea market or thrift store, so for $145/night room where people who come are usually there for events at the Waverly, hangers are a must.
  2. No dresser drawers so, no hangers, no drawers, you’re living out of you suitcases.
  3. No mirror except one you can maybe see your face and chest in in the bathroom. For people going to events at The Waverly, not having a mirror in the main area of the bedroom can be a challenge.
  4. The TV did not work due to No Network Detected. The caretakers did not know why. Not a big deal for us but may be for others.
  5. The splatter of white paint all over the stairs, hardwood floors and ceiling beams is disheartening. I think that along with the half wiped top of the microwave just shows a lack of caring. On the plus side, there is a bathroom in the foyer, a refrigerator in the room, a working A/C and hairdryer, and the nightstands each had a...
