La Victoria Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Victoria

So I live in Victoria, grew up here. I have seen restaurants come and go over the years. I had a very poor experience tonight that seems to be the trend here lately. Whenever I call for a takeout order it is very hard to get someone on the phone. Their online webpage says they close at 9:00 on Sundays. So myself and my daughter started calling at 7:20 to place an order for pick up. After 9 calls someone finally picked up the phone at 7:45 and told me the kitchen closed at 7:30 and that they closed at 8:00. I explained that online was apparently incorrect and let her know that I had been trying to call for almost 30 minutes. She stated that everything had been turned off and already cleaned, and was fairly rude in all honesty. Not the best way to get and especially keep return customers. Just my...

When they opened, it was taking them 1 to 2 hours to fill an order (not an exaggeration). Since then, they've improved but struggle to get your order correct, so don't leave the premises without ensuring your order is correct. They are friendly though, and the mexican food they produce is "good" in that it scratches the itch if you have a taste for mexican. It isn't authentic mexican, so it depends on the consumer where that rates with you. If they increase their ability to fulfill orders correctly the 1st time, I'll increase their rating again. My first rating was 1 star. I've now updated it to 3 stars. Hopefully, I'll be able to take it to 5 stars in the future. It's a very rare day indeed when I need to rate a restaurant so low. We are on vacation and stopped to eat in the very small town of Victoria, VA. I'm used to very authentic Mexican food, and this wasn't even close!!! I took 3 bites of my enchiladas and had to shove them aside....(Who puts cheese dip on top of food.....the enchiladas had a sour taste.
