I came to this place in the dead of night with my family. At that point, we were willing to settle for whatever we could get. Although admittedly, sleeping in our car would've been preferable to what we got.
To start with, the room was dirty. We immediately noticed the floor, which did not appear to look as if they had vacuumed it all. There were various hairs in the sheets -- not just a stray hair or two that could've fallen off of the housekeeper's head, but as if two very hairy men had slept in both of these beds. And not all of them looked as if they had come from the head... many of which looked like they came from a person's unmentionables. There was a suspicious stain that looked somewhat fresh in the sheets of one of the two beds -- we didn't dare to smell it, but we suspected it was from urine. The beds themselves weren't particularly noteworthy outside of being filthy, but two of the pillows felt as if they were torn apart and filled with lumpy socks. So we only had two good pillows for the three of us. I also felt like I was being bitten while I was sleeping, and other reviews seem to talk about bed bugs. I had a few marks afterwards, so that's worth noting.
Onto the bathroom: the sink did not look as if it had been cleaned at all after the last guest, or for that matter, in the past month, as it had food particles in it -- among other dirt. The towels seemed cleaned, but were of a particularly low quality -- the kind that you use to clean a bathroom, not to wipe your hands or body with. We only used the body towel to wash our hands, and we did not touch any of the other ones. The toilet had hairs on it, and there were cheerios on the floor beside it. We elected not to use the shower, despite it appearing somewhat clean, as we were only going to be napping there for 4 hours.
We had to make a security deposit of $5 before we checked in, which the room was around $78 or $81 after tax -- I can't remember, because we promptly left in anger after they claimed we took a washcloth with us. We didn't get our $5 back, as a result. Nor did we get the receipt back. And we were in the room for only 4 hours, we didn't use any of the towels beyond one of them, and it seems like the lady (same one who checked us in) likely conned us -- maybe she did so outside of the knowledge of her management, and was doing that for her own thing. Or maybe the housekeeper who supposedly cleaned our room "forgot" to put one in there, as they did with everything else in the room. But regardless, they ripped us off. It may have been an intentional scam, or it might have been due to the negligence of their cleaning staff, we don't know. But we do know that our experience with this place was awful, the quality was awful, the service was awful, and it wasn't worth the $83 or $86 they took from us.
In summary: find somewhere else to sleep. Even your car would be a better place to rest in. This place is terrible for a short term stay, and I'd imagine that it'd be only worse for anything longer than that. The low quality could be excused if it was significantly cheaper (despite being cheap already), or if they actually cleaned the room. But neither of those are the case, and there are significantly better options in the same area for around...
Read moreDon't let this hotel fool you!!!! * * * * As soon as I walked in it smelled of dirty dog. The toilet wouldn't fully flush. We paid for 2 weeks up front, and he acted shady when we asked for our money back for the rest of the weeks. Now we either stay or fight for our money back. Don't pay cash!!!!! We thought this hotel would be able to do until the work on our house is done. It was a good price. Seeing how we are spending so much for home repair. The first few days were great....... They even had a laundry room. That's where the problems begun. Tell me why it's so difficult to give someone quarters. Especially if those quarters are going to be used on your laundry machine. The only 2 stores located near bye lack change, and it's the middle of the night. So okay I figure out a way to deal with it, and deciding forget it. Next thing I know the AC quits working out of nowhere and you have to shut it off shut it back on and repeat for the AC to work right. When toilet stopped flushing right. By the next morning I wake up to the toilet overflowing on all of my bags on the floor near by. The manger refuses to give me quarters unless I spend several dollars to get quarters from his vending machines. Each thing being $1.75. I also thought I'd be able to take my son swiming. The pool was small and dirty-looking and when they close it at night they put a piece of broken fence over the walkway with a chair to keep it there. If you wanted to swim you have to move it yourself. When you looked at the area and in the pool it did not look like the picture it looks very dirty. The only reason I did not pick the Motel 6 across the street is because this hotel under cut it by $60 . My advice to you is pay the extra 60 bucks if you need a hotel for the week go to the Motel 6 across the way. The manager here has no sense of a business nor does he have any manners except when you check in. Your on your own after that. Channel's are very limited, and so is the wifi. Pros are it's a desent price, has maid service, and has...
Read moreThe rooms are nice. They make sure it is clean. It comes with a refrigerator, a walk in shower (some rooms do not have that). The walk in shower has a light above so you can see well. The water pressure is amazing and the water was hot. The first floor is wheelchair accessible. It has 2 gas stations within walking distance and a vending machine with snacks and another with drinks in the office. There are no restuarants near by and the gas station does not accept ebt. The rooms also have a table, 2 chairs, and a nightstand. The rooms also have a chair that can fit in the shower if needed. The rooms are decent sized. They have cable and a tube television in the room. Room service is great. The people who work here are very friendly. The bad thing about this place is with the walk in shower if you do not close the shower curtain right, the bathroom floor would get flooded. Some of the people who go to the hotel are creepy. The first night I was here someone knocked on our door about 11pm. The peep hole they have on the door was stuffed with something so we could not see out. We kept the door lock on and cracked the door. He had a bandana over his mouth and wore a hoodie so all you could see were his eyes. He apologized and said sorry wrong room. About 30 minutes later we hear people talking about how someone knocked on his and his wife's door and the guy tried robbing his wife. We do not know if the 2 are connected but both were pretty sketchy. Also the room we had only had enough room to either to have the television plugged in or the refrigerator. It also does not have an elevator so if you are in a wheelchair the 2nd floor is a no go. Honestly if it wasn't for hearing of the attempted robbery I would have rated this place 5 stars. The 2nd night we stayed we had no issues and all together was a great place but with what happened the first night I would...
