I was a little nervous after reading reviews but got there and LOVED my room. It was a lot cleaner than I expected and I enjoyed the atmosphere. It was perfect for just me. I was there for two nights. The first one was PERFECT, the second night, for no real reason; I began to feel uneasy. I slept with my lights and TV on. At 4am that night/next morning someone banged on my door. I thought this was odd b/c I sometimes travel with my son for baseball and kids do that. However, I did not see ANYONE in the hallways during my kids and I did not see any kids other than some grandkids and grandparents. After the commotion I did call the front desk. I should also note that the room phone did not work and I was unable to receive or make calls when I was hooked up on the Wi-FI. I finally called the front (I did NOT go to my door) and asked if everyone was ok or if there was an emergency. The sweet front desk girl, Charlotte told me that it was probably someone at the wrong room. Good enough but I packed up and left at exactly 5. I walked downstairs to the front at around 4:50. I saw a well dressed gentleman in the lobby. I was actually comforted by this but when I got home I began to think about this. WHY was he there lingering around? Charlotte offered me breakfast and I appreciate that but I am thankful that I declined. Their breakfast was from 6-10. Was it really ready an hour early? I am just thankful that I got out of there. I came back in for some coffee (like I said, I felt fine). When I did the older gentleman did tell me that there were some "kids" running around. I left. But I wonder- wouldn't Charlotte at the front told me that same thing. She was in the lobby as well and if she saw "kids" running around- wouldn't she have told me that when I called? Again I never saw any kids. This wasn't a travel baseball or sport kind of thing. I didn't see ANY "kids" running around during my stay. Also, what "kids" play ding dong ditch at 4am. I am glad I left and I WILL NOT return. Be Safe. Something sketchy is going on at this place. Also, when I arrived the front desk lady told that one of their staff was recently arrested for going in people's rooms and stealing thins. No worries though b/c he is in jail without bond. do not travel here if you are a female by yourself. Just don't. My spidy senses are off...
Read moreIf I could give this hotel a negative star I would. My family has been staying here annually for a family reunion. Never again will our group stay here. First: booked a queen suite online via the Wyndham website and was not given that room. Multiple other family members booked rooms over the phone and the hotel screwed up reservations. Second: out of the three times I’ve stayed here the pool has been broken twice with no notice. My kids were planning to swim and we were not told it was broken at any point until arrival. Knowing this would have changed our booking. Third. Multiple family members had lightbulbs that were out in their rooms. They literally were showering and using the restroom with the flashlights on their phones and when they asked for new light bulbs the manager told them “we live in a small town and it’s hard to get things fixed”. They are next door to Lowe’s and Tractor Supply. Buying lightbulbs is easy. Go fix it for your PAYING customers. Fourth: breakfast. At 7:30am they ran out of milk for the breakfast they claim to offer. The coffee is watered down.. well water and when dumped out looks like tea. The “breakfast” offered is a joke. Which meant my family ended up PAYING for more food at chick fil a. Fifth: we rented 20 rooms in this hotel and were fought all along the way by workers. At the end of this I have contacted corporate and told them this is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. Everything was an excuse. I can honestly say I have never left an online negative review until today. Do NOT stay at this hotel because you do not matter to this facility. They are crooks and taking money for a service they are not providing. The Wyndham company should take a hard look at this hotel and kick them from their brand because it’s...
Read moreFirst of all we have always enjoyed staying here, but this trip was horrible. It seems it has went downhill. It took us a good hour or more to get checked in. My daughter told them I was handicapped and they put us in a tiny room at first no hand rail in bathroom. Then they moved us to 3rd floor yes the room was much bigger and with 2 kids that was great, but still no hand rails in bathroom. None! We decided at least the room was large. My daughter helped me in and out of shower. 🙄 then a couple hours later the elevator went down. I’m on 3 rd floor and have trouble walking 😢😩😤 so I’m stuck most of the trip in room. We went to pool Saturday Jacuzzi was down 😢🙄 and there were no towels. My daughter went to desk asked for towels told to get towels from our room. Really climb all them steps to get our dirty towels. Later that night when we came from eating asked at fest for towels got towels and was told just call from room when you need towels. 😮😤😡🤬. Friday night we had drunks under or window til 3:12am puking and hollering and laughing. I videoed it and watch them load him on a trolley to get one that was puking inside. Yuck! My 7 year old granddaughter was like I can’t sleep they so loud. It was 3:38 before she went to sleep. Then Saturday night I was hurting from doing the stairs so to not wake up everyone went to lobby to do a puzzle. While sitting there from 1:10am til 6:30am 6 people came in wanting to get a room and could not get anyone to the desk the guy was outside somewhere. They left and went to another hotel. If I could give a no star I would. Never will we go...
