We had a reservation for a first floor room with a handicap accessible shower. We arrived after 7 hours on the road to find they had no room for us, the guest in our reserved room had stayed over. That’s understandable but they had no handicap accessible room for us and the young desk clerk wanted to give us a third floor room with a bathtub not a shower and he didn’t know the height of the tub. Additionally they never called us to tell us they didn’t have a room for us, nor did they offer to call other hotels to see if they did. The frosting on the cake was when the young desk clerk said my wife would have to walk to the end of the hall to get to the third floor room., roughly the length of a football field. When I reiterated my wife’s disability and need for a first floor room he snarkily commented “ we have lots of sick people staying here”. His insensitivity and plain ignorance of how to provide customer service to a handicapped person, or to even know the meaning of “ disabled” or “ handicapped” is beyond the pale. I don’t know where all these positive reviews came from as the desk people were no help to us at all, merely made excuses and were thoroughly unprofessional. We sat in the parking lot, made a few calls and found ourselves a place to stay. The Country Inn where we stayed was staffed by total professionals who went out of their way to care for our requirements. Stay there, you’ll be better off even if you have to drive a couple...

The front desk now has a doorbell so customers can alert staff to their presence. The breakfast is pretty good, the staff is friendly, and management listens to their guests. There are also lots of nearby restaurants to get lunch and dinner.
The good: the rooms are clean and overall the decor is inviting. The fluorescent lights don't buzz too loudly, and the smart TV in the suite gives you the option to log in to your own Hulu and Netflix accounts. If you're just checking your email, a throttled wifi connection is free. High speed Internet is $5/night.
The bad: The one thing a guest wants to do after arriving in a new city is to check in quickly. I pre-booked a room and waited in the lobby for a half hour before another party located the clerk.
This fearless company shuffled in and shamelessly turned the hotel upside down until they located a breathless young man who was "working on something in the conference room". I told him I tried calling the hotel, and he pointed to his telephone which had a sticky note saying "Phone not working." Of course it wasn't. The young man offered me a bottle of water for my trouble and went right back to work on the ailing conference room.
As you can see, the front desk is very clean and modern, but not...
Read moreI was in town, working for the small hospital that was conveniently right behind this hotel. I had to stay here for ten nights, and it was great! I had a king room. It was clean, the temperature was set perfectly as soon as I walked in. The bed was very comfortable. The room offered a mini fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. Blackout curtains were perfect for sleeping in on the weekend. Their exercise room is small, doesn't offer a treadmill, but the bike and elliptical work just as well. Their pool is clean and warm, but the people in the exercise room are able to see you in the pool. The pool area also have a shower to rinse off and a clean restroom. Every single staff member that I've encountered was GREAT from day one! They were accommodating and helpful with many things! For my ten nights stay, I was able to get my room cleaned as often or as little as I liked. Location is also great. Many grocery options nearby. Many restaurants or fast food within a short driving distance. Plenty of dive bars all around. Great continental breakfast with many options for on-the-go or sitting down to eat; they have plenty of seating. This hotel is definitely one of the better hotels...
