Southern Nights Motel — Hotel in Waldron

Just stayed two nights here, and I can say we were pleasantly surprised: reasonable price, spacious rooms (ours had a full side couch and two sitting chairs) and a clean environment. The king size bed was firm with clean colorful bedding and the carpet was in good shape without a dirty spot to be found or a foul smell (we walked around in socks and our 6 yr old played freely - comfortable).

The bathroom and shower curtain were sanitized, the air conditioner kept the entire space cool and the white towels were fresh and soft. The free wi fi was strong and I didn’t lose connection once and I did my share of web surfing. The nice size flat screen tv on the dresser was of good quality, with at least 200 channels, including HBO. The mini fridge worked well and the microwave and coffee maker was clean and convenient. The gated swimming pool looked inviting, yet it was a rainy weekend so no late night swims :( Not to mention there’s a Harp grocery store within a quarter mile and a McDonalds/convenient store and a steakhouse within fifty feet off the hotel lighted parking lot. And with all that, the hotel rep was courteous and she was helpful. All of this for less than $60 bucks. I would recommend this motel for its cleanness and overall...

If you want a nice quiet night's sleep, DO NOT stay here. The walls are paper thin . I was there on a Saturday night and the room above me and the one adjacent to me had parties going on in them. There was loud stomping from 8:30 PM until 3;30 AM in the room above me. I called the front desk twice and they did nothing. In fact, she told me on the last call that I could come check out early if I was not happy. Guests and visitors came and went all night to some of the rooms. I got no sleep all night. Other problems that I encountered - very slow internet and it went completely out for several hours - bed was not that comfortably - tub was rusty around the drain - very low water pressure and the hot water was only lukewarm at best. I would not recommend this...

Recently stayed at Southern Nights Motel in Waldron. Just one night while traveling. The motel is two story with exterior stairs to second floor. Exterior corridor. The room was clean, necessities provided and they have a microwave and fridge. The motel is located within walking distance to McDonalds and another restaurant. Gas is close by and a new grocery store is nearby as well. Check in went smooth, no electronic keys, just a good old fashioned motel with owners who care about the property. This is not an upscale "hotel", but it does provide a great place to stay, clean rooms and easy access to Hwy 71...
