Been to Hotel Wapello about 6 times. First few were mid 60s. John Jaeger was owner. Louie was manager. Rooms $6. Lobby had a turn of the Century beautiful touch. Old wooden phone booth with a light and fan. Hunted at Lake Odessa, so rolling out of the Hotel with 8 others at 3 a.m. may have surprised a few other guests.
