I took my granddaughters there for a fun weekend. We thrifted all day at the Antique Mall, then we came back to the property to swam in the pool, which by the way is the perfect depth. I didn’t have to worry about it being too deep. We then got dressed and ate dinner at the Steamboat ( it was delicious) I give the restaurant 5 stars also! We took plenty of pictures around the grounds and in the hotel. It was such a beautiful experience. I have to mention we stayed in Suite 5 and the bed!! OMG was divine!! ( we tried to lift up the covers to find out what kinda mattress it was bc we were all VERY impressed ) We all had the best night sleep! I couldn’t get the girls up the next morning!! We also visited the Catholic Church there in Washington and it was Amazing!! We will definitely be back! What a hidden gem!! (The hotel manager was very accommodating as well, he went out of his way to make our stay the best! Shout out to...

I had a great stay at the hotel this weekend in a gorgeous room. The property was all freshly renovated with a thoughtful attention to detail that captured the historical roots of the property without sacrificing any modern comforts. I was really impressed with the preservation of all of the historical features, including windows, doors, and many fixtures. The wood shake roof on the adjoining building really caught my eye. My room was huuuuge and had all of the necessities that I look for in a hotel room.

I walked over to The Steamboat for dinner, where I had the best softshell crab, but I am also looking forward to Hotel Klaus’ restaurant for future trips. I peaked into the space that is still under construction, and I hope to see it finished out by my next trip.

I didn’t take advantage of the pool this trip, but I could see myself camping out by the pool for a weekend. The backyard was a little oasis in the middle...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful boutique hotel. The hotel is a modern restoration in a historic building that was built in the late 1800’s.The rooms were spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The king sized beds were the best we have ever slept on and the four large fluffy pillows are unmatched in coziness. The manager, Jonathan Sebastien, was extremely helpful getting us checked in and showing us around. Thanks Jonathan. Washington is a beautiful little town with a rich history, historic homes, great Cajun food and friendly people. A large antique mall is open every weekend only a few blocks away. The famous Steamboat Warehouse restaurant is a short walk away and serves gourmet Cajun food. Washington is a great place to sightsee, antique and enjoy great Cajun food and Hotel Klaus is the place to stay. We will...

This hotel is an absolute dream! The building is historic with antique furniture throughout, high ceilings, dramatic black out drapes that really work, amazingly high quality linens, high quality mattresses… I think they thought of every detail, and the sense of pride of ownership is very apparent. But the best part? Jonathan! What a gem he is! He made us feel so comfortable, like his own personal guests. Pool area has designer touches, floaties to use, a 1’ wading area to chill in for hours during hot season. The town is walkable and really fun to see all the historic homes and the bayou. Plus, we had the best meal of our trip at the restaurant that is a 3 minute walk from my room. Yummm!!! This hotel is the perfect blend of modern comfort meets historic elegance. Do yourself a favor and visit!!!
