What a lovely hotel at an excellent price! This is the top of the line in its category of budget hotels. Nicely remodeled with new plumbing fixtures, floors, linens and other room fixtures. The room and bathroom were sparkling clean. The room was equipped with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. There were plenty of shower amenities and towels in the spacious bathoom. We really appreciated the warm welcome and cleanliness of the hotel, and the high speed internet was good. Continental breakfast in the lobby in the morning, muffins, toast and cereal, coffee and tea. As someone with a high sensitivity to scent, I really appreciated that there were no chemical/cleaning smells or scents in the room or on the linens! Totally suitable for allergy sufferers. This hotel is obviously owned/managed by someone who takes pride in their business. I will definitely stay here again, and recommend this to anyone coming to Weatherford. (PS - I looked at all previous poor reviews, wondering why this hotel didn’t have a higher overall rating., no idea). The bed and pillows were quite comfortable, even for side sleepers. The only cons were, 1. the AC is the usual old school, noisy, window type. It wasn’t hot while we were there but I doubt they would get very cold. 2. The bathtub had a very hard time draining 3. The room door does not seal, letting in light, noise (although the hotel was fairly quiet, so it was not an issue, and the AC would drown anything out anyway), and it also let in all the warm and dry air which came in from the common hallway. Since it was quite cold out, the hotel inside was heated, making the room air very dry and hot, and difficult to sleep, until we turned on the noisy AC. So, earplugs and eyemask are probably a must.

I'm staying 2 nights here waiting for some repairs on my 18 wheeler. The hotel is clean and presentable. The room is very basic but does have a fridge, microwave, and TV. The a/c did work really well. My room is nice and cool. They have free coffee in the morning but no breakfast. (There is a sign in the lobby advertising continental breakfast) I asked the desk clerk and was told they only have coffee in the morning. They DO NOT have an elevator. Luckily it's only 2 stories. If you're physically disabled or have a hard time going up stairs, you will have to have a first floor room. The location is great because they are right across the street from a Pilot truck stop with a Wendy's. I believe there are some other restaurants around here. The staff are friendly. The only major inconvenience is I've had to have my room key reprogrammed twice in less than 24hrs. This is a good place to stay if you need a cheap, clean place to sleep and get a shower but not much else. I believe the online rating showing it's a 2.5 star hotel is correct.

The only reason I gave it one star is because I had to so I can post this review. Stay far away I thought that I could handle this cheap rate in this questionable area but not under these circumstances. The black mold was so thick in the bathroom there was no lock on the door and when I went to the front desk to ask about getting a refund and leaving I was told I couldn’t until in the morning till the proper person came in to process the paperwork well guess what no refund was given and in fact they charged me for another day I was told that this is a problem with the mold because of the tornado that went through and the water that is leaking from upstairs and they never use that room and they knew about it but they still gave it to me does this makes sense

06-16-20 EconoLodge Weatherford TX #123||This was the 1st Choice property that did not seem to care about the Corona-virus. Never saw any front desk staff, housekeeping or maintenance staff during our 4 days wear nor even have a mask. Makes you wonder how much they are doing to clean rooms since bathroom floor always stuck to your soles [we bring house shoes just for such reasons].||Should get discount for not serving breakfast, blamed it on Corona-virus, but other Choice had you get breakfast but take back to room. Did not even offer coffee which other Econolodge and Quality Inn did – just saving money with excuse of virus. ||Had young lady running front desk – totally not qualified – took her 5 times before she got two keys to work – every time one would work the other not – she even tried to tell me that if you use one key the other one will not work – just dumb logic. Asked her how to get to Weatherford center and tried to tell me the wrong direction. Pointing left and saying turn right. Told me just to go to High School and turn, told I have no clue where high school is since I am at hotel.||Fridge did not have a freezer compartment for ice packs – we are here for 4 days and need ice packs frozen for day trips. – They exchanged fridge, but 1st asked me to help carry it – I’m, a senior and that was not going to happen.||The bathtub and walls are a plastic, yet they have rust stains in the corners. They tried to tell me they were metal and it is normal throughout this hotel.||I walk in the front door and no one is there. This happens in early Am and in PM when we come back from eating. They are usually the room behind the desk area with the door closed. Little security on who enters. You ring the bell if you need something and they come out of the room. On Tu 18th at 0630 no one at desk. At 0739 No one at desk. I ran bell and NO ONE came, so I left.||The chair for the table in the room will not lower to go under the table, therefore the arms are all beat up.||06-16 HSKP stole a whole bag of recycling, already squished by me. The bag was behind a case of Diet Pepsi and a case of Root Beer. It was not close to any trash can and you had to reach behind the two cases to take it. It is the 1st time at a Choice property that people went through food items to steal recycle and for something as petty as recycling for about $2. Disgusting!||HSKP kept forgetting to leave conditioner, shampoo and cream. Front desk even told me they do not have conditioner, but he did manage to find some.||No business center for printing or using computer.||Asked the tall gentleman at the frond desk for an email address and owners name, could not provide one, but said he could...

We needed a place to stay with our grandson after some confusion at Worth Ranch (Boy Scout Camp). We couldn't get a room in Mineral Wells (baseball tournament) so had to go into Weatherford. This was one of the few rooms available on the west side of town that had two beds so we booked it. Mistake.||First: old, outdated, two story hotel with no elevator or rooms on the first floor. My husband and I have bad knees so it was hard getting up and down. Second: no breakfast (saw there was on the booking site) which was blessing in disguise as we found Tanya's Cafe going back through Mineral Wells to return our grandson to Camp. Third: noisy. Right across from a truck stop. Nothing against the truckers, have several in our family, it was just the walls and windows were poorly insulated.||Now, about the room itself. The two beds were full size, not queens. The carpet was sketchy so we kept our shoes on except in the shower. The AC unit was loud. The beds were hard and each only had 2 small pillows. The shower curtain didn't have magnets to hold it in the tub so it would blow open. The shower head spayed water everywhere and we couldn't get it dialed (it had regular spray or massage spray) where it wasn't spraying the shower curtain and ending up on the floor. The refrigerator needed defrosting and smelled funny. The microwave needed cleaning. And the piece de resistance - the toilet was not properly attached to the floor. Every time you sat, or got up, it made a large booming noise and would shake.||Overall, not a good place to stay if you...
