We arrived for a walk-in check-in after midnight, but were still required to check out at 11 am. When we asked about a later checkout, the staff was not accommodating and came across as unfriendly—felt a bit greedy, honestly.
The room itself was decent, but the cups were dirty inside, the coffee tasted old, and there were gummy bears stuck to the bathroom floor next to the toilet. The internet didn’t work, and the Dish Network barely functioned—we caught pieces of a single movie, which was disappointing since we arrived late and that was our only option for entertainment.
On a positive note, the spa lotion in the room was amazing, and the breakfast buffet (though not included) was nice. Sue at late-night check-in was friendly and helpful.
However, the amenities didn’t open until 10 am, and nearly everything besides the pool came with an extra cost—including lobby coffee. When we forgot our wristbands in the truck, we were treated as though we were trying to sneak into the pool, despite clearly being guests who had just checked out.

Read moreOkay, got it! Here's a review incorporating your initial impressions: While it's only been one night so far at Crystal Mountain, my initial impression is overwhelmingly positive. I've found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and friendly, readily assisting with any questions. Upon arriving at my room, I was pleasantly surprised – it was noticeably better than I had anticipated, clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The area itself is undeniably beautiful, with lush greenery and a tranquil atmosphere. We're here for a soccer tournament, and even with our focus on the games, we've already found plenty of things around the resort to keep us busy and entertained during our downtime. From exploring the grounds to enjoying the resort amenities, there seems to be a lot on offer beyond just the tournament itself. I'm looking forward to seeing what the rest of...

There is also a coffee shop and market right in the building, so you can easily access breakfast and other essentials on-site.
The Crystal Mountain staff were all super friendly and flexible. Of course, there are no guarantees, but we were able to check-in a couple hours early and check-out an hour later so we could ski longer on Sunday morning.
The room was very clean and perfect for our small...
