Kinlochen — Local services in Weldon Township

Played golf on mountain course Thursday September 8th in the afternoon. Beautiful day perfect weather, course in great shape. Front 9 had to wait due to scramble outing which apparently was very slow. Back 9 found a 6 person group which jumped in front of us from the scramble. Ranger called, told group to allow for smaller groups to play thru which they did. I attribute the event to poor course management. Ranger came to our group stating that he was supposed to be off work. Group of 6 heckled our group for the remainder of our round. For our day on the course I was not impressed at all. Spent new years here with the kiddos and had a blast. Crystal Mountain skiing wasnt super packed and reasonably price as a package deal, book early and ask about lift passes. Courtesy shuttle to and from the slopes was super convenient and the townhome had all the amenities that made it feel like a home away from home. Nice walking trails in the area and they are pet friendly. Equipment rental was also painless. Only reason for the four stars was the onsite market seemed to be out of everything needed with the exception of alcohol. This is a condominium complex which also houses Thistle, the fancier restaurant at Crystal Mountain Resort. The building has an old-school Scottish Isles feel to it and the decor of the entrance, lobby, and first floor are fun to see.
