I needed an overnight getaway from my home in Shreveport, and I found the perfect place for it! Kiepersol Winery, Restaurant, and B&B were wonderful! My experience in the Tasting Room, sampling Kiepersol wines for the first time, was enjoyable and fun. Kevin helped me learn about the wines I tasted, and after the sampling I enjoyed a glass of Zinfandel on the outside covered patio overlooking the vineyards. The day was sunny, and I enjoyed relaxing with good wine and a beautiful view.||||Then I checked into the B&B (I was in the Sonoma Room) and relaxed a bit more before dinner. My room was pleasant and comfortable. And what a nice surprise to see that the toiletries were L'Occitane products, in the fragrance I often use at home (Verveine). I have only two suggestions: (1) No facial tissues were supplied. When I asked the woman who had shown me to my room if I could please have a box of tissues, we went to the supply closet a few doors away from my room and she discovered that there were no boxes there--only small travel packs of tissues. She gave me two packs, which were barely sufficient for my makeup removal needs and my allergy-related sneezing episodes. (2) The second suggestion I have relates to the absence of a Keurig (or similar coffee maker) in the room. Like many people, I need coffee to jump start my system; and I'd rather not have to walk out to the restaurant in my PJs and bathrobe, without makeup, to obtain my caffeine jolt. However, that is what I had to do. If an in-room coffee maker is not possible, perhaps an arranged delivery of a cup or two of java at a pre-established time could be set.||||This review is becoming quite lengthy, so I will provide only a few more comments. The restaurant was a wonderful experience; the service, attention to detail, food, and wine were outstanding. I ate too much, but that was my choice!||||In conclusion, I plan to return to Kiepersol in the spring; and I will stay two nights. Everyone on the Kiepersol staff was friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. I was treated as a valuable solo guest who cared about Kiepersol, its history, wines, food, and ambiance. And in return, of course, I care about the Kiepersol legacy and its continuing success as a...
Read moreB&B review: My husband and I enjoyed our stay in the Champagne room, it was cozy, clean, and staff were kind and anticipatory of our needs. My one suggestion would be that they add a love seat or more cozy seating section to the room so that there is a nice place to read and chat other than the bed.
We really liked the fact that if you were a B&B guest you had reserved parking right near the front of the building; so even when the restaurant was busy, we didn’t have to look for parking!
Breakfast: Best coffee I’ve ever had brewed at a B&B- I like my coffee strong and theirs had a robust flavor unlike most others which taste more like tea than coffee... Breakfast was fantastic, I would 10/10 recommend the eggs Benedict- words cant describe the magical blend of flavors and textures they have perfected!
Restaurant review:
We started with the duck cigars and it set the bar high for the rest of the meal. My husband loved the sea bass and said it was the best fish he has had in years. I enjoyed the filet minion with lyonnaise potatoes. It says a lot about the quality of food and it’s preparation when it comes to you seasoned to perfection and needs no added salt, pepper, or steak sauce. I’ve seen several reviews mention as a critique that you can only get Kiepersol liquor and wine and no other label. However, as a customer it didn’t bother me because part of the fun of trying different wineries, distillery’s, and breweries is that you get to try THEIR product. Anyway, their dark rum is delicious and made for a fabulous mojito!

Read moreExcellent service. Excellent cleanliness. Everything worked. Date: July Room: Coastal Room
If I could give 4.5 stars, I would, as our stay truly was spectacular, and I hope to go again.
But I gave 4 stars because, considering the price, there were a couple things that could have been better.
We stayed in the Coastal Room. The bed in that room is along the same wall as the bathroom in the next room. So I had just fallen asleep when the other guest started a bath or shower. It was right next to my ear and woke me with a start as there is not much white noise in the room, even with a fan (that works great) and a personal AC. There just isn't good insulation in the walls and not an ideal placement of the bed. The second night, I used a white noise playlist on Spotify and that worked.
Speaking of the AC. Works great, we kept it fridgid while there. But the display functions as a night light which kept me up after the above described awakening. The next day I discovered that you can turn this off. (See photo) You're welcome. 😜
the water gets wonderfully hot. BUT when first using it, I was only getting icy water. This ended up being because the "hot" and "cold" markings on the faucet are backwards. (See photo - there is a sun and a snowflake.) This seems like it would be a simple fix.
I LOVED the private back porch. It doesn't have AC, but with the fan, it is quite nice, even in July. Just know if others are in their porches, they can't see you, but they...
