My husband made reservations here for my birthday. We ate there on Saturday, the 29th. It was a very nice restaurant and the waiter was really nice as well. The food started out good, we had the duck cigars and the crab cakes. Both were really good in my opinion even though my husband said he didn’t care for the duck cigars. For the entree I ordered lobster tail and mashed potatoes, he ordered filet mignon and vegetables. My husband loved the steak, it’s been 2 days and he’s still talking about it. He said the vegetables were okay, nothing amazing. For me, the lobster was WAY over cooked to the point where I had to use my husbands steak knife to get through it and the mashed potatoes tasted like raw garlic. We informed the waiter that we weren’t pleased with the lobster and mashed potatoes, and we saw him go back to the kitchen - I’m assuming to tell the chef what we said. For dessert we got the molten cake. It was amazing and my husband fell in love with the ice cream. For a birthday dinner, honestly, it wasn’t amazing because of the lobster. We weren’t offered anything in return for that, or even half off of that dish because it was a $45 lobster and it was over cooked pretty badly. Pretty disappointed with this place after that and I could have gotten a better meal at a place that didn’t cost $200. My husband says he regrets eating there because it wasn’t worth the price because I got over cooked food. The appetizers and dessert were good but that’s it. For the price, I would say eat elsewhere because if you’re not happy with the food they won’t care. Oh, and also we were told by the waiter that the mashed potatoes came with the lobster dish, and then we were charged for them.

What an amazing experience. Made reservations for lunch at the restaurant and visited the tasting room before our scheduled time. Large open space and plenty of tables in the tasting area. Also an outdoor patio overlooking the vineyard. Staff seemed busy, though there were few customers. Tastings are assigned in groupings by type of wine, you cannot select just anything you want. Wife had reds and I had the spirit's selection (their own distilled Rum, vodka, tequila, gin and Bourbon). All the wines my wife had on the reds list she thought were phenomenal, my spirits were great, enjoyed the bourbon enough to make a bottle purchase. The restaurant was comfortable and inviting, with a bar area just passed the entry and tables tucked throughout. It was a quiet afternoon with not many patrons. Our waiter was helpful, polite, and knowledgeable about the facility and food. Our entree's surpassed expectations with appeal and flavor. We splurged for dessert and that may have been one of the best decisions I made all year. Do not...I repeat...DO NOT miss an opportunity to indulge in their sweets. We had a memorable time visiting Kiepersol and look forward to visiting again.

Read their website carefully first if you’ve never been here! I was unfortunately not able to update the Google map when I went, although I tried. The north roads are not open to the public. I did lots of research via their website and learned before I went to enter from the south side of the estate through the neighborhood (the website has great directions we used). I made reservations for lunch on a Friday when they opened at 11 before the winery tour which started at 1 (also made a reservation, separate phone call, see other review for Grand Room tours). More than enough time to enjoy lunch leisurely and get to the tour on time. Wonderful lunch experience! It’s the same location as the B&B. Quiet and peaceful. You could definitely eat lunch for less than $20/person (with tip) if you only order an entree. However, they have a great selection of unique appetizers and cocktails. Warm, homemade bread was complementary. I meant to ask, but they might have seasonal menus. Some items all year possibly? The sit down menu is different than the restaurant bar and the bistro at the tasting room located across the estate a short drive. A fancy experience!

This was our third visit to the Kipersol Restaurant. The best experience by far! Matt was our server. He friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. He was available when we needed something, answered all our questions, and went above and beyond to deliver a stellar experience! The food is always delicious and this visit was no exception. We had the Duck Cigars and Brussels for appetizers (highly, highly recommend both!). My friend and I shared the Pierre salad. It had waaaaayyyy too much bleu cheese dressing. It probably would have been perfect without the overpour. My husband and I shared the ribeye with garlic mash, French green beans, and a grilled shrimp. We always get steak and it is phenomenal! Be aware that the liquor license has changed and Kipersol only offers their private label for wine and cocktails.

We stayed in the B&B and had breakfast this morning. Matt was our server again. The Eggs Benedict is yummmm! My only suggestion would be to offer the option of an English muffin instead of potatoes and make it standard to serve with the homemade salsa (insider secret that you MUST try!) Service and breakfast was equally fantastic. We will...
