Booked this location as this was our very first time here. Front desk was amazing, the other side as they always do tried to get you to do a 2 hr thing for a free trip and discounted parking at the parks but i was only in the area for 4 days so we didnt do the 2 hour meeting. I think offering these shouldnt be pushed if they say no, it should be no. this location didnt push the issue but other locations did. The room we stayed in 3205, checked in 23 June 2022, the room was great, a little tiny it smaller then expected but it was great. the bathroom was amazing, i loved the bathroom, i wish every place we ever stated at had bathrooms like this one did so A++ for the bathroom! i would deff stay again cause of the bathroom experience! the one thing that i would complain of is there is one locked door in the room, and me being a Marine Veteran, i know folks go places and mess things up and so the 90% suffer because of the destructive 10% that ruin it for the rest, and while i assume that behind this locked door was the hvac system and i can see why it was locked, maybe someone in the past did something to the hvac closet if thats what it is, i have attached a pic, i just dont like that one of the doors were locked. i paid for the room, i should have had full access to the room and everything in it, while i do not care for hvac systems and i prolly would have never went in to that closet, the water heater closet was unlocked. my complaint is that one of the doors inside of the room were locked and traveling with a family, for me so many things go through my mind when i see that. Over all i give a 10 out of a 10, just that locked door didnt sit well with me and like i siad, im sure it was the hvac closet just there shouldnt have been a locked door cause someone could be on the other side or have access to the other side and i know thats not the case just what goes through my head with my family with me. also, not as crazy but the TV wasnt centered on the wall and i assume cause there were ports that guests could use, i did not even look but yea. again, 10 out of 10 for sure, very family friendly and the staff were amazing! thank you for hosting me and my family for the 4 short days we were there! would deff stay again, just wouldnt want a locked door in the...
Read moreMy family and I stayed in 2 rooms here as part of my timeshare ownership. The rooms are okay but not my favorite in either decor or spaciousness.
The rooms include a small kitchen with a full stove and refrigerator plus a microwave and dishwasher. It felt a bit cramped, though, due to the island/dining table combo and the washer & dryer all being fit into one area.
The living room has a fireplace but is small with one uncomfortable couch (that cushions would not stay on) and one comfy settee. There's a coffee table and an end table, but the phone sits on the settee for some reason.
The bedroom fits the king-sized bed and chest of drawers plus includes end tables with lamps that have both traditional plugs and USB ports on them. And the bed was also quite comfortable, so I slept better than I do at home.
The bathroom is spacious with a double sink and a large shower, but it's an odd design. There is no closing door on the shower, and there's only one hook outside the shower, so it's hard to hang towels and robes for use when exiting the stall. For me as a short person, the one hook was high, so I imagine a child could not use that at all. A horizontal bar on the wall or on the glass enclosure would be helpful, and a hook on the back of the door would allow one person's towels to dry while the other showers. Also, there's only one shelf for soaps and shampoos, and no hooks for wet rags and scrubbies inside the stall.
I'm thankful I could rest well because that and friendly employees in the office and at the concierge desk at least somewhat made up for the dirty shower floor and the sticky and uncleaned floors and counter tops throughout the room. The floors and carpets were dirty in both rooms, and the dishes needed cleaning before we could use them in either room. And, yes, we were offered cleaning after the fact, but having to move luggage and dodge a cleaning crew is not a vacation-friendly setting, so I expect rooms (especially at a timeshare) to be fully cleaned BEFORE my guests and I arrive. Shower shoes and socks got me through the week, but I will keep my future Williamsburg stays at the Patrick Henry Square location if at all possible.
Photos are of fireworks at the Busch Gardens across the street...

Edited to add update from recent stay. Where do I begin... I was traveling with a friend who has a timeshare that allows her to stay here using points or bonus time. She booked the Presidential suite for a long weekend (Thursday to Sunday) using bonus time, meaning we still paid. I think it was around $700. Well, on travel day, she was running behind. I arrived 3 hours before her after traveling all day (5 hours) with two kids in the car, including a toddler. My friend called to request that they let me into the suite so that I didn’t have to sit in my car for 3 hours with two kids but they refused! Wouldn’t budge. I ended up having to get a room here for the first night and pay $170! Annoying but I had to do what I had to do. Honestly, why even buy a timeshare here or use your bonus time to stay here? We weren’t trying to pull a fast one on anyone. I wasn’t trying to stay here without my friend. She was going to go and checkin with them when she arrived. The people at the desk knew my circumstances but were 100% fine telling her to just have me wait 3+ possible hours for her to get here. How about a little empathy the day after Christmas? Would 3 hours have killed them? Then there comes the second night. It’s 9:15 pm and our doorbell rings. Apparently the house that we rented that sleeps 8 only has ONE reserved parking spot out front! ONE! I had parked my car off to the side in a spot that was not numbered or reserved. Apparently it wasn’t a spot, which is fine, but why ring our bell and at 9:15? Again, I have a toddler. Apparently the houses do have a second spot, but it’s at the end of the road! I had to go move my car in the dark and cold. The people were just really nasty about it when they knocked. I will never stay here again! I come to Williamsburg about twice a year and usually stay here, but never again!
Original review from October: We love Parkside! It’s a great deal! Where else can you rent a two bedroom room? Perfect for families. The only downside is that they do try to sell you on a timeshare, but they aren’t too pushy about it. I’ve stayed multiple times and it’s...
