Well I don't know where to start. This was the first time here at pymatuning adventures resort. Not sure where the adventure part is. It looked like a runned down campground that needs to be updated. The pool looked green and the girl couldn't explain why. I found out the pump went out last week and they were waiting for it to clear up. There are no activities going on. I was told travel resort is all private campgrounds and when I pull in you see a big KOA sign. Hello that's not private. This was a sad pathetic campground. My backyard is more entertaining. When I asked the ladies at the front desk things to do she tells me welcome to redneck country. I was told the pantoon boats can be rented. They only have 1 boat and we should get a cheaper price then the marina. You save $10 if it available. I guess travel resort is holding up there lies and will continue doing that. I didn't even stay 24 hrs. I will give an A+ rating for one of the representatives at travel resort. Will not mention any names but they got me into another resort at such a short notice and we are enjoying this one. I don't recommend pymatuning adventures to anybody. It should be shut down and condemned. Sorry...... I give it a negative 5 stars but I need to give it 1 star....... good luck to anybody that...
Read moreEveryone was really polite. Although it seemed a lot of employee training was going on. We got a pet friendly (must bring shot record) one bedroom "cabin" (trailer) with cable and WiFi. Dishes and trash bags were ready for us in the cabinets. We brought our own blankets and sheets/pillowcases cause they charge an extra $20 for that. Live music in the evenings, that weekend, events for the kids, breakfast (if you pay) but prices are comparable to McDonald's. We took 3 kids under 15 and a 2 year old, there was a pool with a lifeguard and playground. Making s'mores in our own fire pit was convenient. Payed $50 a day for a golf cart but you can bring your own with proof of insurance. Lots of outside local stuff to do...we rented a pontoon for 6 hours and went tubing by booking it through the campground even though it was off site. There is also a local zoo, but if you're an animal rights activist I'd stick to kayaks and s'mores. Sadly that extra fun was $100 a pop with all of us. The whole thing was run by KOA, which was better than expected. Its a lot like Indiana, so we basically...
Read moreThere is a wide variety of accommodation choices...RV, large and smaller cabins, tent. Beautiful grounds and very attentive staff. Their goal must be to make your visit memorable and very enjoyable. Pool, great playground for kids AND for dogs. Very pet friendly. Nice pavilion that we rented for the entire weekend where we could all relax and have our meals. Spotty electrical, but very helpful in providing a large charcoal grill and extra tables for setting up food. Our cabin was very nice, good kitchen, very clean, very comfortable beds, very nice bathroom. Definitely stay here. Fairly close to a place where you can rent pontoon boats. Just a wonderful experience for all (32) of us!! ONLY downside - no opportunity to recycle the 4 large trash bags of things we...
