My experience here was below decent. I came here for a road trip to visit, Noah's Ark! The location is a 1 minute drive to the Ark. There is a restaurant, another inn and gas stations around this location area. The room that I reserved for 2 adults was a bit unsettling. The moment I drove towards the parking lot, seems a little sketchy since we had someone keep staring the moment we got there made me feel uncomfortable.

Sure, there are a few things that saved this location from getting a bit lower score. First off, the front desk lady was very nice to us. And breakfast was from 7 am to 10 am (eastern time). The Inn and Suite is very affordable. But, you get what you pay for. There is a Mexican restaurant called, Jaliscos! You can literally walk there from your reservation.

The room was a bit disappointing. I had a room where the ceiling seemed to look like it was dried wall 🧱 and something was going to come down from the ceiling which was concerning. Then, under the heater/AC there was cracked wall and mismatched paint to cover the holes. The bathroom was outdated and door would not shut when doing your business. The water was warm/hot though which I do enjoy since the day I got there, it was a bit chilly. The beds were horrible. They were like springy/sunken beds 🛌 that made my back uncomfortable since you can almost feel the springs underneath. Attempting to sleep, both of us could not sleep. We heard strange noises at night 🌉 🌙 😳 👀 🤔 and what seemed creepy was that there was sounds coming from next door but I recall not many visitors were around during my time there. No gym, pet friendly (restrictions apply). There is mini fridge (kept making a slam noise every so often), microwave and there is a little park for the kids to play at.

My experience here was not good but not too terrible either. I have seen worse. I would consider other location if you can pay a few more dollars elsewhere for better piece of mind. But, if you are here with family to visit the Ark then this is the...

Next time, I will pay the extra bucks to stay in a nicer place. We were just looking for a place to crash for a few hours before we continued on our drive. Several places before had terrible Google reviews, and this one was showed more decent reviews than the others.

The area was lit, but poorly lit. It's off and away from the highway which is nice, but it still had a shady feeling. We were unsure about this place, but realized we were too tired to continue.

The room they originally assigned to us had not been cleaned at all. The bed was messy and the room keys were still on the table. Not a good impression. Thankfully, after bringing this up to the lady at the desk, she assigned to us a different room and refunded me $10 back. She even upgraded our room to a king size bed. Whoohoo.

Unfortunately, when I left the desk and started to walk towards our vehicle to gather our things for the night, I noticed two shady-looking men talking to my boyfriend. They said they were the maintenance men. After we said goodnight to them, they left and we didn't see them for the rest of the night.

Our "new" room stunk, like old cigarettes. The floor felt like it had a layer of grime on it, and the sheets were a dingy yellow. Out of the seven pillows on the bed, two were "cleaner" than the others. Even still, we placed our t-shirts on the pillow for an extra barrier. The rest of the room was clear from debris, but I don't know how 'clean' you would call it. When we called it quits for the night, we noticed a constant twitching sound. The door was thinner than normal hotel doors and right next to the window. Given the area and situation, I did not have a safe, secure feeling at all.

There were people outside their rooms when we pulled in and when we went to bed. They could have been normal people who were having a late night, but given the overall mood from the place, I'm less inclined to think so.

Was not...

Room was dirty!!!!!! Sheets didn't fit the bed and were inside out. Coffee pot had not been cleaned, towels were stained with spots and discolored, furniture had not been dusted/cleaned, toilet didn't flush well, shower- hot and cold was reversed! The most AWFUL smelling, smoke filled office and dining area I have EVER been in. I had to hold my breath to get free breakfast and ended up choking on the smell and had to leave. All I had time to grab was a bagel as I was choking on the smell! 😖🤮 A coffee pot is provided in the room but ZERO condiments are provided so hopefully you like yours black! There is a hole in the wall near one bed and under the sink/countertop for electrical wiring. Also, we were provided and empty box of tissues! Furniture wobbled and our desk had a sticky substance on the edges and various places on the top and was slanted. Oh, the cleaning staff had a 6 pack of beer in their space where towels and bedding are kept. If they are drinking beer while on the clock they are surely smoking while handling linens and bath towels...all absorbing the stinch!!! None of this is good for a person with severe allergies to tobacco smoke. Unfortunately it was the only place with a vacancy last minute. Also,WAAAAAAY overpriced for the conditions! I wouldn't have even paid $30 for a stay in this place if we had had another choice. I would've loved to discuss my experience but the smoke smell in the office was unbearable for me to even...

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!! I always look at website photos of rooms when I book a hotel and this place looked really nice, well I was definitely had on this one. The rooms although seemed pretty clean were so outdated, mixed matched with decor and in need of repairs it was ridiculous especially when their photos showed what they did. The people were nice as I explained my thoughts and apologized but that's as far as that went, oh and check in isn't until 3:00, we arrived at 3:40 and got the keys to a dirty room that wasn't ready yet, they moved us no problem but come on it's well after 3:00!! The location for the Ark encounter was great, literally could have walk to it within 4-5 minutes and saved $15 we paid to park but other than that there isn't much to do at that exit. I did hear people at the pool but didn't bother going to see how it may have looked because I figured it wasn't pretty considering. Go to their website look at their photos and compare them with my rooms and you make the call whether you'll stay. BTW I paid $137 and change for one night.

We traveled 7 hours from Canada to see the Ark Encounter. This place was very cost-effective and reasonably priced. If you’re not too picky, it’s more than acceptable. Some reviews mentioned damp floors — our room was a bit damp too, but running the air conditioner continuously solved the issue. The hotel staff were all kind and helpful. However, when we asked for extra towels, they only brought three even though there were five of us in the room. Breakfast was very simple. They offered cereal, coffee, a waffle machine, packaged bread, bananas, apples, yogurt, and packaged boiled eggs. Our family was satisfied and had a good meal. There’s also an outdoor pool, and our kids had a great time there. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the Ark parking lot, but it’s a manageable distance. If you’re looking for a good value-for-money hotel, this place is a great option. But if you’re hoping for something a bit nicer, there are two other hotels nearby you might want to check out.
