My family of 6 booked this Inn because it was convenient to the Ark exhibit. So that was a plus. The good: the floor square footage was large enough for the 6 of us. The 2 queen beds were clean and comfortable except the flat pillows. The AC was cold and the water was hot. The Continental breakfast was okay, normal at best. The bad: the TV reception was terrible. On and off to the point it was best to turn it off. The mini fridge was not cold, more like warm at best. You will need to use the ice machine for a cold drink. The ugly: we paid for a pull out couch so 2 kids could sleep on it and the mattress was so filthy, there was no way I would sit on it, let alone sleep on it. We took pictures down to the front desk and they even said they would not sleep on it but said they would tell management. (See attached photo).Yet nothing has happened with that. So 3 people slept in each queen size bed. Not comfortable at all for what we paid for. Now the bathtub was nice except for the annoying cracking noises it made when anyone stood in the tub and took a shower.(attached video) The bathroom was a slipcover on an old tub and it showed. My wife and daughter tried using the hair dryer but it made a horrible noise and stunk like it was burning.(attached video). And honestly didn’t even dry their hair. At the pool the smell of chlorine was so overwhelming, it was difficult to breathe, let alone swim. When we walked in, the poor choice of smooth porcelain tile caused one of my boys to slip and fall while walking . The kids wanted to swim so they did for about 10 minutes. The Conclusion: obviously this place stays in business because of the convenience being beside the Ark. Would we stay here again? Absolutely not and I would not recommend it to anyone. Hopefully corporate will refund our money back. I’ll give an updated review about how this stay was compensated by corporate, when or if I hear back from them.

Only reason it gets a three star is honestly the beds could be a little more comfortable. Theyre hard as a rock, which some people like that. But there was a billing issue. And i knew from check in itd be an issue. I booked through the Hilton App as i do often so i know how booking a hotel works. Then upon check in i was told my charge was the same amount i paid through the app. Brought it up, and i was kinda dismissed although very politely that my hilton charge was a holding fee for the room. No lol. So waited for second charge to complete through my card as i knew it would because i got double charged. Then disputed it. Once again i initially got dismissed and was told that if i booked through ArkEncounters that id have to call this number because i hadnt been over charged. Meaning they didnt even look which is frustrating because fix it. After stating id booked through the hilton app they then fixed it. Said they saw the problem. And my refuns is already pending so thats good. But dont just dismiss your customers. Some of us travel a lot and kinda know whats going on when we book rooms. Also dont just dismiss us assuming it's one problem when it's truely totally another. Otherwise rooms were relatively clean. There was one cleaning issue which i reported and fee wholeheartedly that they fixed. And staff was very friendly but yeah billing issues arent fun.

Breakfast taste good. Be sure to arrive early to breakfast.6am-10am first day we got there around 9am and a woman said there is no more food then a little while later after our disappointment she then brought out more food. She had a bit of an attitude but who knows what morning she was going through. Next day we arrived at around 7:45 and there was half tray left. And it was good. Hotel is a Perfect location. MICHELLE at the front reception desk was the person to greet me with such a warm welcome and smile. She was so pleasant and made sure if I needed anything to just ask. She gets 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️stars she’s amazing and always helpful. I even came down in the middle of the night I saw her cleaning and fixing and she helped me get water. She deserves a raise! I hope she’s a manager and if not I hope Hilton considers her. She worked so well with her co-workers and even though she was busy with someone else, she would make eye contact with me and others I noticed to acknowledge them and to let them know she would be with us in a bit. Michelle checks off every box of exceptionalism. 🙌⭐️♥️ Thank you Hilton for the steller service

Door not secure! Did not lock when leaving room! To secure, at least 1 person must stay in room and lock from inside!

We arrived for check-in and no one was there to check us in. 10 mins after waiting, a young lady apologized and said she was the only one working. Room 131 was clean, smaller than anticipated but we made it work for our family. Later that night, one of the room keys didn't work so my husband went to the front desk to get a new key from Hanna. The next day the other 2 keys wouldn't work so I threw them away and mentioned to my husband later on that I needed new keys. He made me aware that he had to go to the front desk for a new key. He said the key wasn't working because the door needed to be pulled hard to shut. After we toured The Ark, we went back to the hotel after closing (approximately 830pm). After attempting to use my key that was retrieved from the trash, keys still didn't work. I pushed the door and it opened! I pulled the door closed and it didn't secure. I pushed and pulled trying to get the door to lock after shutting and it didn't work. I immediately went to the front desk and let him know. Daniel came down and looked, went and found a tool to try to fix, asked me questions and told me he wished I would have told him sooner because maintenance wasn't available. That was the soonest I could tell him as I didn't know there was a problem until a few minutes before he knew. I asked for another room. No rooms available as they are full. The only thing was to secure the door from the inside. Our family missed dinner plans due to this situation and my son stayed in the room to secure while we found a local diner to get food. The next morning was check out, I spoke to Robert Sullivan, the general manager about what had occurred. He said he believe what Daniel told him and didn’t believe that we deserved a comped room, he offered 10K points. I told him that one room at this location is minimum 40k points and that wasn’t sufficient. I then explained that I wasn’t sure what he had heard but wanted to explain what had happened. He walked down to the room and saw for himself. As I was speaking to him, he kept closing the door (in my face). I also asked him that I would like to use the 100% Hampton Inn guarantee. Mr. Sullivan told me he would look into it and get back to me. I didn’t hear back from him at all. This hotel is new and kinks are still being worked out but customer service training should be in the forefront. He was so rude!! In the end after calling customer service, the hotel did refund me the $260+ for one night’s stay.

TIPS: There is a gate that was attached to The Ark Encounter with a strap so you could save your $15 parking and walk across the parking lot.

This hotel is cash free. Bring quarters for laundry services Luckily, the front desk had...

Very disappointed! We stayed from Friday-Sunday to experience the Ark encounter. First issue is they market and charge for Ark view. That view consists of the parking lot and tree tops. Second we were given the room beside the linen closet so you got a free alarm clock with doors being SLAMMED by staff at 7am. Wife and kids where not happy at all! Breakfast on Sat was a disaster with no food and long lines. Simple things like no spoons or Orange Juice, hard for kids to eat cereal with a butter knife. Breakfast on Sunday consists of slimy omelets and still no spoons or oranges juice. Pool was extremely over crowded when it wasn't closed for maintenance Dry ridge is 2 exits up 75 and has plenty of hotels. I am very disappointed at spending 700, having no breakfast, no view ( but paying for it) Stay somewhere else.

UPDATE: As you can see from the response they obviously don't care about the customer. Not a single I'm sorry for your disappointment, nothing but excuses with a attitude. "Plenty of other choices" really that's your response. "We can't control the pool" really the sign on the wall said only 10 people and your staff did zero to enforce that. Blaming the health dept for your lack of scheduling is also shocking. If you had 4 other locations of silverware why was there a hand written sign that said no spouns literally that's how it was spelled. I was disappointed before and now am extremely disappointed your excuses of bad service are ridiculous. You also glossed over and didn't respond to the two major things. Paid for view and didn't get it and your staff slamming doors.

I wasn't looking for anything other then a apology. I can see now I'll have to take this to the top...
