Rustx Ranch — Hotel in Wimberley

My original review (5 stars, stating that mike & Nicole were great) was far too generous from the beginning. Let alone after another day passed and seeing an additional charge.

Let’s start from the beginning.. before my group even arrived we found out that the cabins were double booked. While I know Mike will comment and say they were not, they in fact WERE. The campground was completely booked out for a wedding group. They failed to remove the listing from online booking, therefore an additional group booked a cabin thinking one was available- there was not. We couldn’t have been nicer about the misunderstanding and told Mike & Nicole we will squeeze the extra 5 people into the other cabins. They were thankful that we were willing to do this & even gave us extra sleeping supplies, including mattress…

Throughout the weekend, our cabin was completely absent of hot water. We told Mike & Nicole nicely and their response was “there’s nothing we can do about it” - ok, fine we will just take cold showers- and we DROPPED IT. Never made a stink of it. Other cabins lost hot water as well all weekend “because of a breaker”- easy fix, but it wasn’t until shower were done.

We left the cabin based on the very few checkout rules the couple left us- spotless, beds made, just as it looked when we got there. Fast forward to today, I have an extra $100 charge on our card because of “excess cleaning and extra people and smoking on the property”…

Let me be very clear that our cabin WAS clean, no one in our cabin was smoking, and though we had extra people because of their double booking- none were staying in our cabin. In addition, mike and Nicole were at our properties MULTIPLE times throughout everyday “to check on how the stay was” - where they could have acknowledged anybody that was smoking. We couldn’t have been nicer to this couple while we were there, for them to turn around and take zero accountability for their shortcomings & charge us extra on top of it.

Our dreamy long weekend “girl trip” at RusTXRanch was nothing short of perfection!! The accommodations are beautiful, impeccably clean, comfortable to the max in every way and Nicole and Mike have thought of everything to make the stay here one that you will always remember, and believe me, you will want to return! Each themed cabin is tastefully decorated, holds so much charm & has all of the essentials you will need at your fingertips to cook, grill, sleep like a king or queen, gather, and have fun… The personal touches are second to none… They can have your fire started when you returned home from dinner so that you can enjoy a campfire and s’mores, and with a certain number of guests, they lay out a “cowboy breakfast” that is delicious, fun, and so memorable! RusTXRanch is truly a gift to Wimberley, where you can exquisitely shop, eat, drink, sightsee, tour, enjoy wineries, breweries…. For days!! Nicole & Mike can plan your stay & itinerary with you & we were 100% pleased with each of their recommendations for food, live music,shopping,sights to see & things to do!!! We had so much FUN @ Wimberley market days, wineries, and soaking up the beauty and vibe of the beautiful hill country, Wimberley & it’s e eclectic array of shops and foodrries in the UNIQUE downtown!!!! Review of RusTX Ranch - A Perfect Getaway! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently had the pleasure of staying at RusTX Ranch with my pickleball group, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! Nestled just minutes from downtown Wimberley, this charming AirB&B offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities.

The property features nine cozy cabins that provide a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Each cabin is thoughtfully decorated and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. We loved being able to gather as a group, and the community pickleball court was a fantastic addition. We had a blast playing matches and enjoying some friendly competition!

One of the highlights of our stay was the fabulous Event Barn. It served as the perfect backdrop for our evenings filled with food, drinks, and games. The spaciousness allowed us to spread out and really make ourselves at home.
