Where to begin? First the hallway smells like a hospital. The rooms were hot and had NO thermostat to set room temp. Went to front desk & asked if they controlled the room temperature and they said yes. Now why can't the customer control their own room temperature? After all we are paying the bill. The room has a large window which is great to look outside, but after dark when privacy becomes a concern, the curtains (some parts of the curtain you could see through) did not block the window enough to keep people from seeing in the room. Since there wasn't a coffee maker in the room, when I woke the next morning at 4:45 am I went to the lobby looking for coffee and was told by the attendant that coffee wouldn't be available until they set-up for the continental breakfast. Luckily the attendant offered to make a cup for me. Room was extremely dim and the outlets in the room were behind the bed & chest of drawers. The outlet behind the chest of drawers was an add on made of two outlets in a metal box. We had to purchase extension cords to reach the outlets so we could recharge our electronic devices. The bathroom had only one outlet that was part of the light fixture. This outlet is withing 6 feet of a water outlet and was not GFCI protected. This is a SERIOUS VIOLATION of the National Electric Code. This has been a requirement for bathrooms for over 20 years. In the bathroom my wife had to use an extension cord to use hair dryer & curling iron. Luckily these devices came with GFCI protection when they were purchase. Just imagine what will happen when somebody gets electrocuted while using an outlet in the bathroom that is required to have GFCI protection. So to sum up our stay: If you want to stay at place and have absolutely no expectations (in comparison to other places), then this is the place for you. ...

Read moreResponse to Owner: My stay wasn't "less than satisfactory": It was Non-existent!! What does allowing dogs in hotel rooms have to do with people visiting their family & friends over holidays? That makes no sense. Let me find the email that YOU sent us, that states your pet policy is "No Pets Allowed" and I'll post it here for others to read. Then tell me it says "case by case". You're making up rules as you go along.
The receptionist did NOT apologize when she refunded our money. She said, "That's ok. Here's your refund." She was flippant and unapologetic like it was OUR fault. Very unprofessional. It was NOT ok to put us out at 9pm on a Friday night!! She never said she was sorry you changed your policy. You did not notify us by phone or email before we drove out there for the weekend!! You're right, the dogs were NOT unattended, but the people next to us made NO effort to quiet their barking dogs whenever anyone walked down the hall.
So, if your patrons are ok with barking dogs, when they walk into their room or walking down the hall, or potentially anytime during the middle of the night, then they can take their chances. They changed the pet policy they emailed us without telling us. When we told the receptionist there were barking little dogs next to us, she said they now allow dogs. They changed their pet policy. They refunded our money without an apology. At close to 9PM we had to find somewhere else to stay on Friday night. If you don't mind yapping dogs next to you that you can hear through the walls...then take...
