This is the nicest Hampton Inn I've stayed in. That goes for both the hotel itself and the staff. The check-in was by far the friendliest hotel check-in I've ever experienced, and I've stayed in a lot of hotels in mid- and high-end ranges. Jessica checked me in. Such a peppy happy little thing. The room was very nice with wood paneling, comfy beds, built-in night light in bathroom. It was clean. Although the sink did have some visible coffee splashes under the rim, but since it was just coffee it easily rinsed off & wasn't gross so I'm not marking them down for that. The towels were plentiful & adequate, not luxurious, but I don't expect that at a Hampton Inn. The room had no smell whatsoever, not musty or anything. They leave two complimentary bottles of water in the room and gave a card at check-in for a free beverage or snack from their pantry by the front desk. There were complimentary evening snacks of meatballs, cheese & crackers, carrots and ranch dressing, salad. It was all good and the area was clean. The breakfast was good. It was the typical fare. They had hardboiled eggs with the shell on which I liked. Pre-peeled ones are gross IMO and come packaged that way so you know they're not fresh. These were very fresh, cooked on site I think (there were brown and white ones.) There was an wide selection of tea. The gal working the breakfast area was very present keeping everything stocked and clean. As we were leaving we saw the housekeeping supervisor (?) going with her checklist room to room. She pleasantly greeted us as we walked by as did every employee we saw during our whole visit. All employees were English speaking. Honestly this was the best Hampton Inn, best mid range hotel of any chain for that matter, that I've ever stayed in, right down to paper towels in the lobby restroom instead of hand dryers and a full size regular hairdryer in the room. I definitely...
Read more$219!!! For 1 night. The shower had black mold. We didn't see until the next morning when we showered. There was a black hair in the shower. When we shut the door, there was a LOT of black curly hair (our hair is brown/grey) there was long hairs on the bathroom floor. Our hair is short. I went to the desk to buy a Diet Coke and Shannon the manager said wait a minute. She finished her computer stuff and then turned to a other lady in scrubs and said 218 needed cleaning and then took her to the bavk room to talk to her. I was tired of waiting so I put the Coke back and sat down to my breakfast. She came out and said sorry I needed to tell her something. I wanted to say so bad, no, you need to take care of customers and THEN tell her something! When my husband checked out she asked if everything was OK and he told her about the mold and she said she would tell housekeeping. He told her no, he worked construction , and someone was going to have to scap the caulk out and redo it. Nothing else. We are currently at a Best Western and it is perfect. Not sure we will go back...
