NO STARS. Y'all, this place is a NO GO.
Upon arrival, an Older (graying) Indian man hovered over me at the counter when I checked in (no clear sign that he worked here, or had any business clinging to every word that was said to me at check-in, but as you'll see further down I believe him to be the manager),and then as the Clerk (who was the ONLY saving grace; he was very nice, friendly and helpful) was ringing me up, went outside and walked all around my car and stared down my son who had been asleep when I left him in the car, but woke up to this creep peering in my car at him. Thank God I locked the doors, and could see him from the desk! Then, when I went to park down by the room he came and circled my car again!! What in the actual f*!? And I'm pretty sure he and his family own and LIVE IN this hotel...even more disturbing (having the feeling that he could show up at any time, and continue to "stalk" me during my stay).
None of the doors shut properly, (you have to push really hard to open and push really hard to shut) Normally hotel doors close behind you with force from weight of their own, none of the doors in this hotel did that. My room door wouldn't even deadbolt lock without having to put ALL my 110lbs against it just to get it into the locking mechanism. And the outside door closest to my room, not only would it not shut properly on its own, you couldn't even get it to open more than half the time-and I was not the only person struggling, another guest, a 40 or 50 year old man had the same problem. interesting that none of the doors work properly, but they put in notes all over them making sure you don't track dirt in their hotel! (If you can even get in with your key card)🙄 You can clearly tell that there is some kind of moisture issue, all they're doing for that is running fans-EVERYWHERE. The floors in the room were absolutely filthy disgusting dirty. There was no drain stop in the bathtub, so my son couldn't even take a bath, he's only five, and after walking around on these floors, trust me he needed one. Not only that, the handle on the shower was completely backwards, if you turned it to "H" it was freezing, turn it to "C" hot...and the knob went all the way around, there was no clear way to shut it off. And as another guest mentioned, no toilet paper roll holder, laziness and cheapness. And in all the traveling I've done, I have never in my life seen an envelope ASKING you to leave a CASH tip. I damn sure won't be, after I saw that the bottom of my feet were darker than the wood floor. The microwave does not have the proper plate in it, so as it spins inside it rubs against all of the walls of the microwave, including the door, and sounds like it's about to burst into flames. Neat!
But here's the best part guys, the black mold around the toilet connectors 😍 Scrumptious. I didn't notice it until midnight when I hopped in the shower, or I would have been at that front desk demanding a new room. But I will certainly let them know at check out!! 🤢🤬 Going to look into reporting all of this to red roof inn corporate, definitely don't want to take it to the manager, who I believe to be the "gentleman" stalking me when I came in and throughout my evening...

Let's start with the room. Our first room (lol) had a strange smell and we couldn't put our finger on it, until my 11 month old started coughing and my asthma started up. We realized this was a previous smoking room, and the blinds were shut during the day the sun was heating the blinds up and the tar on the blinds was getting in the air, we looked at the sun side of the blinds and literally tar was dripping off the blinds, im not joking. I went to the front desk and they told me that there isn't a smoking section but they bought the hotel 3 years ago, let me say 100% this was a smoking room. Next our sheets were not changed or our pillow cases and still had perfume and cologne on them with some added hair. The staff apologized and let's us know there other location had to fire workers for failing to change sheets. Nice. Besides that our tv did not work, the couch was torn and tattered and there were bugs in the bathroom. The toilet and running water was brown. Not sure if they were working on pipes in the area but the water was still brown when we switched rooms. The staff gave us a different room and fixed the tv and were very apologetic. They were very nice atleast :)
Our next room was still a smoking room, and was only across the hall so I'm guessing the whole wing was a smoking wing at one point. The only difference was because the room was not facing the sun the blinds weren't being heated and so the room wasn't as bad smelling. Unfortunately there was semen on the head board of the bed and on the computer chair. Yuck I have an 11 month old and this made me pretty upset, we ended up using disenfecting wipes on the ENTIRE ROOM. Probably the cleanest it's ever been. :/
We left this hotel early by 2 days and couldn't stay any longer. Unfortunately we asked also to be put in a more quiet section of the hotel and instead we were next to rooms with dogs who barked a lot. Natalie slept through it though haha.
So all in all I would not pay for a room here again. They need a house keeping manager with an eye for detail when it comes to checking the rooms over before they ar used especially if the staff cannot change the rooms properly.
I would probably also retrain the staff on proper room changing...
Read moreI booked a Room here and left a specific note on my reservation that my Back is in bad shape so I needed A Room as close to an entrance as possible. I also had my dogs with me. When I got there the desk clerk told me that I could only bring in one animal so I left them crated overnight in my car, Since the temperature would be well above freezing. They Room I was given was still back at the back along a broken pavement at the back of the Building which I suppose are the pet friendly rooms. The next day I had a $100 charge on my charge card, When I inquired at the hotel they claimed that 3 of their towels were ruined with dog poop. I was mortified to have to tail they woman that it was only one towel, and due to my extremely bad back I am somewhat in continent, I did my best to wash up their towel and wash cloth That I had some stains on them. I normally book a handicap Room with the Accessible shower to be better able to clean myself, but I did not see that option on The website. At any rate the Room was only $50, and I wash rag and a towel certainly don't cost $50 given the low quality of those Items at red roof. To Make it worse, the desk clerk was extremely rude And laughed at me when I called about the situation. I will be calling back in to try to locate a manager,, Although reading other reviews this seems to be common behavior for them to overcharge And blame it on things related to the pets- R again I did not even bring inside. If I looked closer I would go backup there and make them look at the video that shows me feeding my dogs On the Sidewalk I somehow doubt that it's true that a manager will not be they are until sometime next week. , letting them use the bathroom and putting them back in the car... I do not believe this story told when I called, That there will be no manager they are until sometime next weekend. The Rome was not all that great anyway even by red...
