We stayed at the Blue Heron Guest House while attending a family funeral in Warsaw. We thought why not really relax and enjoy ourselves and have a great visit with our family members instead of a room at one of those chain hotels by the highway, what a great decision. The blue Heron Guesthouse is just lovely. Kelly and Tony are so relaxed they make you feel like you’re part of the family, We s;put upstairs in a room with queen size bed that was way too comfortable. We shared a bathroom with my two sister in laws which was an experience. We were able to have wine and snacks together on the second floor visiting lounging area while another couple we did not know hung out on the main floor. We slept wrest. Could even open the window for fresh air. We saw eagles and ducks and loons on the lake in the morning while,we had our coffee. Both Kelly and Tony are involved in it all working together to make your stay there just perfect. Their breakfast was a culinary delight. They even allowed us to share breakfast with my husband’s nephew and his fiancé. The greatest thing was that they even ate their breakfast while we were visiting. They really were quite welcoming and their big dog was adorable and added to the elegant ambiance. Our visit was absolutely great and it would be even more fantastic in the summer months. In the morning we got to see the big suite on the ground floor with the hot tub. That would,be great to stay in sometime. In the Summer Tony. An even give you a boat ride to one of the restaurants on the lake. Because of the location of the guest house and it’s ambience once you get past the front door you feel like your away from it all and it’s wonderful. We will have to return sometime just for the fun and...
Read moreI just got home from my second stay at the guest house. The first time we stayed in the Empyrean suite (which was a little over-the-top for my wife and I -- everything looked gilded in gold), and this time we stayed in the Heron's Nest (which was also richly furnished but more comfortable to my wife and I, plus it's on the second story so you can enjoy the view).
What a gorgeous house! Such great hospitality.
It was a wonderful experience. Kelly and Tony are really cordial and very accommodating. The boat taxi to Cerulean was awesome -- Tony took us on a great trip around the lake after dinner and we got to enjoy a lakeview sunset and some good tunes.
I know there's another B&B in the village but I don't think I'll ever book there. Staying here feels like staying with family, and the setting is extremely relaxing. The upstairs rooms get access to a nice living-room area complete with coffee and water and a nice DVD collection, not to mention a sprawling view of the lake. Beautiful. The back yard is well laid-out and well-maintained, and features a nice fire pit and a landscaped fountain area. It's situated right on a sandbar so you can hop in and enjoy warm, shallow, muck-free wading. There's wildlife everywhere and people enjoying the lake. Love it. We...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I celebrated our one year anniversary here and it was the best decision we made. The hosts Kelley and Tony were very welcoming and gracious. The house was breath taking along with the view of the lake. The room was amazing very spacious, as well as the bathroom. The bed was perfect if we didn't have anything else to do we would've stayed in bed all weekend. One of the main reasons to go to the Blue Heron Guest House was the sunset view and the hot tub. We got a glimpse of the sunset from the hot tub on Friday night but it was cloudy the rest of the weekend. The hot tub was perfect and enjoy every second. We were really impressed with the breakfast, Kelley asked us what we liked and enjoyed, her and Tony cooked a 5 star breakfast. Saturdays breakfast was eggs benedict which was my first time having, Sundays breakfast was an omelet. We're definitely going to book again this time in the winter. Thank you so much Kelley and Tony for sharing your home to us and making us feel like we were at home as well.
Thank you
Andrea...
