The signage is horrible. First, signs say for pedestrians to stay right and bicycles to stay left, which is the opposite of every civilized country (sorry Commonwealth.) In reality 90% of pedestrians and walk on the right and all bikes ride on the right. Secondly, sorry trails are mostly unmarked as to whether it is foot or bicycle and the ones that are marked are done so poorly. You can follow a foot path and suddenly be on a bike path. So it sounds like I hate the place but in fact this is a very nice well maintained trail system. I've already written far too much or I would point out some nice clever features. Fix the signs! Read moreThese trails are so big we got lost, our dog collapsed, and the Winona Lake Police had to come rescue us. We weren't prepared for these trails at all. These are excellent trails. There are hiking and biking trails. They are nicely maintained. Please prepare yourself before you go. Look up map trails. Know what the symbols mean before you get on the trails. Out-of-towners, it is a picture perfect spot on the map, just amazing trails to hike or bike on, a paved path to run/ walk. People are very sociable there, great family environment, streams to walk in, some areas the river gets deep too! Just all in all a very relaxing and gorgeous area to be at.
