The signage is horrible. First, signs say for pedestrians to stay right and bicycles to stay left, which is the opposite of every civilized country (sorry Commonwealth.) In reality 90% of pedestrians and walk on the right and all bikes ride on the right. Secondly, sorry trails are mostly unmarked as to whether it is foot or bicycle and the ones that are marked are done so poorly. You can follow a foot path and suddenly be on a bike path. So it sounds like I hate the place but in fact this is a very nice well maintained trail system. I've already written far too much or I would point out some nice clever features. Fix the signs! And maybe just forget the keep left or right, it's just frustrating for everyone. Because the ones following the signs are actually in the wrong and the ones not are correct by...

These trails are so big we got lost, our dog collapsed, and the Winona Lake Police had to come rescue us. We weren't prepared for these trails at all. These are excellent trails. There are hiking and biking trails. They are nicely maintained. Please prepare yourself before you go. Look up map trails. Know what the symbols mean before you get on the trails. It's easy to stumble off walking trails and wind up on bike trails. Take plenty of water. Do some research before you hit these trails. They are fun and the people are nice. I would suggest staying on the paved trails if it's your...

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! If you are from around the area, it's no surprise if you have been to the trails. Out-of-towners, it is a picture perfect spot on the map, just amazing trails to hike or bike on, a paved path to run/ walk. People are very sociable there, great family environment, streams to walk in, some areas the river gets deep too! Just all in all a very relaxing and gorgeous area to be at. Winona Lake is a beautiful area, great restaurants and shops within walking distance of the trails also. Just a great location for...

Really nice trail system. We kept to the easy trails. My son said his favorite part was all the roots. We did go in backwards the first time as we didn't see signage for the actual trail head but was able to get sorted out. We parked at the northwest trail head, which wasn't crowded at the time but looked like it could be. The east trail head had a nice picnic table and for location, surprisingly clean portapots (as a woman... really appreciate it!) We stuck to the east side of the creek trails and some of the paved trails. Very nice, would love to return.

These trails are amazing. There are nearly 10 miles worth of trails and the way they are configured you would not be very far from an exit and yet feel as though you are in the middle of the woods. It has a creek that runs through this woods and is a great place to run, hike/walk, or ride mountain bike. Very well maintained and has certain parts that can be a bit up and down which is great knowing hills are a rarity in Indiana.

Love the trails but they can be crowded. That is the only reason it is not 5 stars. Paved pathways make for a great route for all sorts of transportation except motorized vehicles of course. Strollers, joggers, rollerblades, bikes...you see it all. My kids loved how it followed the stream. Fun time!! Great for taking pictures too! Trail head begins at an amazing all access park and splash pad. Parking can be limited in summer.
