From the moment we pulled in we knew we picked the right place. It was our 1st time here. We met both owners, Aynne and Andre. Very nice from the start and through our entire stay. Our cottage was nestled in pine trees about 60 feet from the lake! Plenty of room for us. We put the two beds together! The kitchen had everything you would need, a fireplace and electric heater (which we actually needed) and very comfortable furniture throughout. The cottages were situated on Winter Harbor which is part of the main lake but protected by the semi circle of shoreline which makes the water much calmer. We had rented a 21ft boat from Melvin Village Marina and they had plenty of dock space for us and another large pontoon boat! In addition there was a dock that went out into the lake for swimming and a swim platform separate from the dock. Since we had the boat we explored much of what the lake had to offer. We saw and heard the beautiful Loons, a Mink and of course watched the fireworks from the water! We loved Wolfeboro and tried a few of the nice restaurants but mostly cooked at the cottage. We enjoyed our evenings sitting on our porch and looking out to the water. I must say the pesty mosquitoes were mysteriously absent. Thankfully! As I said, our hosts were great. Any questions we had about the area they had answers for. We could not have asked for a better place to stay for 9 nights. We actually booked for the same time next year!

A family tradition for many years. My only regret is not being able to come more often. A real family destination. Boating, beach scenery. They have it all.

Beautifully maintained original old wooden cottages on the lake and in the forest. A place like no other. A little piece of paradise

I have been vacationing here every summer for the last 30 years. As a young boy, I always looked forward to our family's stay at Clearwater Lodges. My family and I would arrive to our own cabin with excitement each summer. I would spend time swimming, boating, skiing, and tubing in the crystal clear water, or playing ping-pong, shuffle board, and doing puzzles and board games. We would venture out to various restaurants, which was always fun! There are a plethora of fantastic eateries around Lake Winnipesaukee. I have been hiking in the White Mountains, as most of the best hikes in the Appalachian Mountains are in NH, and not far from Wolfeboro. Up and down Mount Washington 7 times. I vacationed at Clearwater with my family each and every year through elementary school...middle school...high school...college...and then I got married, and kept coming. I had kids, and kept coming. My parents still come too...but they get their own cabin. I have three kids, and they love staying up at the lake...doing all the fun things I did when I was a kid. Its been 30 years...or more...who's counting. I still look forward to being in that same cabin every year, and for my kids to have that same experience every year. ||The owners are top notch individuals...they really care about their customers, more than any other business owner I've met. ||There are very very few places like this in existence anymore, and yet its still revered by those who stay there. I plan on coming for...
