We frequently come to the Berlin area for a long getaway weekends. We have previously stayed at Donna's cabins, Coblentz Cabins, Premier cabins and several hotels. Never did we feel like we needed to clean the room. We arrived later and started to close blinds seeing dead flies on the sills. Inspecting further the room was dusty with cobwebs. A quick trip to the dollar store for swifters and spray. After getting settled in we decided to have a quick soak in the hot tub, peeling off the musty cover we could see hair and bugs floating. Oh well a big pass on the tub. Off to the shower and bed. Shower ran nice, plenty of hot water, typical well water odor. What wasn't typical, it didn't drain and without a lip the bathroom floor was soaked. Two full size shower towels in the bathroom so not much there to clean it up. They must have this issue often as the bathrooms baseboards are sealed to the floor with silicone. Opening the towels what pops out? A big a$$ spider. There goes my wife's towel. (Luckily she packed towels). The next morning after another trip to the store for more cleaning supplies and disinfectant ( I used the toilet plunger on the shower drain) we looked at the hot tub. Cleaning the floaties off, I started the jets and turned up the heat. The jets immediately started sending out black chunks of???. That was enough for my wife. We did enjoy the area for the few days we were there, shopping and dining at Boyd's, The Tarragon Room amongst others. BUT we did not enjoy the stay provided by Amish Country Lodging. We won't be staying with properties...

Would have like a TV in at least one bedroom, and the shower head was not the best. Using the thermostate, it didn't always lower or rise the temp in the cabin. We also felt a little odd to walk past the bottom cabin to see them in their outdoor hot tub to get to the small deck...
ย ย ย Read moreThe room was nice but was lacking a little ambiance. (Yes, we had the option to buy it) it would have been nice to have a dimmer switch for mood lighting, especially over the jacuzzi tub. The hot tub on the deck was nice until we turned on the jetsand it looked like dirty soap scum on top of the water. Check out at 10 am is a little early, I thought paying $50 to stay and an extra 2 hours was a little too much. Overall we'd stay again, hope they take the comments into...
