I just got home today after being 4 days away and staying at this resort. I absolutely loved staying here and found this place last minute and had booked directly through ocean club. Traveled with husband and small child and they loved staying here as well.
The room is perfect with the bedroom and main living area space that included the fire place, mini fridge, kitchenette and microwave. The kitchenette even had coffee cups, plates, coffee maker, paper towels and all very much utilized! In the closet there was a broom and dust pan, extra blanket and iron. Balcony was awesome with a wonderful view.
Bed was comfy for my husband and I. My daughter said the sofa bed was comfy with no issues.
Yes the AC does blast in the main area there and not so much in bedroom area, however a simple fix would be to open up the sliding door and then there will flow cold air!
By 6am the sun does come out and poke through the blinds. Not awful but I can see where that might bother someone. If you close sliding door it does get dark!
Pool area is open until 10pm. Hot tub is closed. They have adult swim hours that are taken seriously.
Activities center is nice and they do have arts and crafts for the kids, just ask.
They have a small picnic area with grills and picnic table. I like that feature.
No dining or breakfast at this place but this is located near soo many places ! Location is perfect!!
All the staff were kind and respectful.
Beach area that is fenced off is small but not horrible as there is a lot of beach space within feet from property so not a big deal, trust me. Plenty of room if you get there early, however best time on beach is 6pm where its empty , quiet with gorgeous skies.
Oh and as for parking, we had zero issues. We had a spot every time. If you come with a big family , try and take 1 car or there is parking 1 minute away from hotel worse case scenario!
My only complaints were inconsiderate people near our room who had their child slamming the sliding doors from 630-730am waking up my entire family !!
Lastly, as for Covid precautions, all staff seen with masks. Guest were mostly considerate of this too but if they didn't, it wasn't the end of the world as most kept their distance. Everyone at beach was nicely spaced out. If you are completely terrified of covid, being around people or some people not having masks, then do yourself a favor and...
Read moreThis is about our 4th or 5th time staying here so that ought to tell you something. It's not perfect by any means, but it's location and unique amenities always bring you back. |It is a timeshare facility so we always get the the sales call to come listen to the pitch, which is fine. But I could offer a few suggestions that would make more people amenable to a timeshare offer. |We stayed in unit 26 this time for three nights and the unit was clean, well stocked with towels, soap and the usual amenities you would expect, and the help was friendly and helpful. |**On the flip side, however (no pun intended) the mattress should have been tossed 5 years ago. No matter how my wife and I flipped that thing around, it was still as uncomfortable as heck. We were either falling off the edges or the blood was rushing to our heads as we looked at our toes against the backdrop of the ceiling. Now considering most of us spend maybe 7 to 10 hours attempting to sleep after a day of shopping and exploring The Cape, one would think it's the most important feature a place to stay has to offer. And I imagine I'm not the only person to comment on the mattress in that room, so that also should tell you something.|Speaking of sleep quality, you should also know that the walls are paper thin. I mean really thin. As most of you know, the way most of these places are structured, the beds from adjacent units share a common wall to facilitate common plumbing and electrical pipes and ducts. And during our last stay, the guy in the room next to us snored like a freight train. I mean it was LOUD. We're pretty used to the usual sounds and noises like running water , footsteps etc., but snoring is a new one. |Next on the list is the stream, or trickle, of water that comes out of the shower. There was plenty of hot water, it was just the lack of volume. I'm bald, so I could make do, but my wife has very long hair and the trickle was not acceptable. |Now as I mentioned at the top of this review, we have stayed here a number of times, but we are getting older now and perhaps our priorities are shifting. And as such, the items I've picked on here become more important to us. And I can accept that.||All I would suggest really is the following. If they are going put you in unit 26, ask them if they installed a new mattress. I not, ask for another room. You'll...
