En primer lugar cuando hablamos por teléfono nos dieron un precio hicimos la reserva al llegar al lugar el masculino que nos atendió parecía no razonar muy bien sobre la situación preguntándonos cuantos éramos siendo que estábamos todos frente a él, revolviendo el sistema como si fuese el primer día de trabajo buscando la reserva... nos dijo que el precio era otro y querían cobrarnos $500 por cama extra siendo q ya habíamos arreglado telefónicamente un precio al realizar la reserva. Que conste que los datos fueron obtenidos de aplicaciones como Booking o Trivago. Cuando logramos acordar el precio nos querían cobrar $100 por cada desayuno. La habitación que nos tocó era de 3x3 tenía una cama matrimonial y 2 literas sin sábanas, la de arriba con la parrilla rota los colchones detonados...el aire funcionó de vez en cuando. El baño!!...la cisterna demoró 1 hora en volver a cargar...la ducha tiraba agua para todos lados menos a la cabeza y la cortina se zafaba de la pared. El estacionamiento no estaba del todo mal tenía vigilancia con cámara con capacidad para 4 vehículos o 3 mal estacionados...así que al consultar nos dijeron "déjelo aquí"... Encima de la senda peatonal. Es triste, lamentable que hoteles en barrios como Malvín operen en estas condiciones y lo peor de todo se trate al usuario local de la manera que nos trataron siendo una familia con bb que solo buscaba descansar del viaje para continuar a su destino. Espero esta reseña se tome en cuenta por el dueño del hotel y se ponga las pilas para mejorar la calidad de su establecimiento pero por sobre todo la calidad del personal que lo atiende.

El hotel es sensillo y pequeño pero coqueto, con estilo retro, ubicación perfecta, frente , en la esquina y a 2 cuadras paradas de buses , frente el super Devoto, en la esquina un Farmashop, en la otra esquina la rambla y playa, en la otra la avenida y a 2 cuadras el centro comercial, donde hay supers, fábricas de pasta, heladerias, restaurantes, cafeterías, panaderías, hasta veterinarias de todo, el trato del hotel es muy servicial , mi habitación grande , cómoda, con un frigobar que congelaba espectacular, duchero calentito, otra area de caja fuerte y donde encuentras frazadas, cama matrimonial y 2 cuchetas, wifie, hubo un corte de luz y la tv cable quedó trancada en 1 sólo canal y el tel no andaba, pero la habitación cómoda, silenciosa y vista de pájaritos , es pet friendly eso ya le da 5 estrellas para mí, lo único negativo es que el desayuno lo pagás aparte y son 300$; todo fresco eso sí

Nos tocó una habitación sencilla, humilde, pero limpia. No es un hotel 5 estrellas, pero cumple sobradamente con lo que se espera de un hotel: poder pasar la noche en un lugar limpio. El servicio de habitación es muy bueno, la gente de recepción es muy amable. Nos tocó una habitación que da a la esquina; tiene una vista ma-ra-vi-llo-sa. Ese árbol, visto por esas preciosas ventanas de madera... una belleza. El hotel es chico, pero cumple con su cometido. Satisfizo 100% nuestras necesidades y expectativas, por lo tanto, lo recomiendo ampliamente.

We were staying at Las Gaviotas between 27th of December 2011 and the 2nd of January 2012. The only reason why we were staying there is that the whole Montevideo hotels were fully booked.||When we entered the room we immediately noticed that the carpets hadn't been vacuumed before our arrival. Moving to the WC it was clear that the tenants have not clue of what hygiene is; I save you from reading on what's in my mind right now...||My 5 years old son was bit in the neck by an insect similar to a flea that not even the web can catalogue (the hotel seems to have its own fauna...)||Insects are also very much appreciating the breakfast buffet so, if you'd like to have breakfast at the hotel prepare for a fight for food....||Also pay attention when approaching the window since the wood pavement in front of it is likely to collapse under a weight of more than 75 kg (it wasn't the case with me but that's potentially going to be...

I must first clarify that I haven't actually stayed at the hotel. ||We made a phone reservation by phone after seeing the place on the Internet. When we got there we saw the rooms and decided it wasn't for us.||The hotel is located one block from a very nice beach - Malvin.||The service for the reservation and the cancellation was very good and friendly.||Since we are a family of 5, we were shown two connected rooms with a bathroom in between. The rooms were quite old and run down. one room had an air conditioner, but when turned on it was as noisy as a tractor. The other room is the only one in the hotel without air conditioning. There was a fan in the room, but it made a terrible squeaking sound every few seconds. We were told that there is no other fan in the hotel, but they would find a way to replace it for us.
