Bocaamada — Restaurant in Montevideo

I went there with my girlfriend and her family because of a recommendation of a friend.

The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is nothing special as it's a very rustic place and a bit dark.

We ordered many different things from the menu through the plate for 2 people which we couldn't believe it was supposed to be for 2 instead of 4. It included melted cheese, bell pepper, fries, potato, different meat cuts, kidney and intestines. We ordered it medium and it came out perfect and so juicy.

This was the best meat I had in Montevideo during my 6 months stay and after leaving I was already planning on going there again.

The staff was not particularly helpful nor were they rude or anything like that. Very average service which I did not care for after tasting the meat.

If I can recommend anything than it would be to definitely choose meat instead of the other options like pizza and if you go with multiple people go for a plate for 2 or 4 people as it provides a nice variety of what this restaurant...

Lamentablemente la atención del lugar cambió mucho y para mal. Solían atender mozos con muy buena disposición y muy buen trato, las últimas veces que fui atienden un par de jovencitas con mal talante y que se las ve desbordadas por su tarea. Hoy el trato fue muy malo, malos modos, caras largas y después de esperar 45 minutos por la comida se molestaron cuando les preguntamos por la misma. Se olvidaron del pan y salsa que siempre traían antes del plato principal. El encargado en lugar de tener un buen trato hacia el cliente, defiende el pésimo accionar de la moza. Les deseo mucho éxito, pero no voy a volver ni a continuar recomendándoles, una...

Positif: Bon service, personnel sympa, grosses quantités de nourriture, carte très fournie, rapport qualité/prix correct. Négatif : qualité des cuissons (trop cuit), résonance sonore forte (quand il y a du monde, on ne s'entend plus, c'est fatiguant et c'est due aux echos (trop de murs lisses et de vitres). Décoration vétuste qui mérite un rafraîchissement. Rien de grave cependant et avec un peu de bonnes volontés et du travail, ça serait génial. Dans l'ensemble, ça fait plus cantine de quartier ou les gens se connaissent...
