We stayed 5 nights. The room was very small, in fact extremely small. The bathroom was quite large and very good (excellent shower). The bed was "gone": too old as it lost its shape, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. The pillows were rock hard . . . The room was at the back of the building, on the first floor but we still had a some sea view. The location of the hotel is excellent, right on the rambla. There is a lovely terrace on the first floor facing the sea with tables and chairs. The free WiFi worked well inside our room. The pool at the back is small and there are a few loungers around it. There are also some beach chairs available to take to the beach. Next to the pool, there is a very good BBQ area for guests to use. They provide plates, glasses and cuttlery but you have to buy your charcoal or wood at the nearby supermarket (2 minutes walk). The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed there in the middle of the very busy summer season, hence the high price we paid: US$125 per day, B'fast included (which is...
Read moreThis hotel is in a very nice location right on the waterfront. The rooms are fairly clean, and the Internet works great. The staff are friendly.||||That is the end of the good news.||||The Rambla is under construction. This means noise, dust, and no good view from the street level. they do not tell you this on their website, nor do they offer a discount for it-even though the place is almost empty and it is the off-season.. The rooms are very small. and what i thought was going to be a king bed was actually two doubles pushed together. The breakfast is cold food-bread, cereal (one choice), cold cuts, coffee, juice. The rooms need freshening up-paint is scratched up, cheap old furniture, cracked tile, rusty refrigerator, etc. No English speaker on the staff.||||I went down to the Argentino Hotel and, for only $40 more per night, you have no construction going on and can stay in a gorgeous historic landmark. No contest. The Genovese is NOT a good...
Read moreThe hotel was nice. The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was a bit small but it was fine. The location was very good, right in front of the beach in a nice location right on the Rambla. ||The pool seemed small but ok, there was always someone using it though we spent most of our time at the beach so we did not get a chance to try it. The jacuzzi did not seem that nice...at least I did not find it very appealing. Overall the hotel was nice, i would recommend it. We were staying on the first floor and there was no elevator, which is something you may want to consider if you go with elderly people or someone with special needs. On the first floor there was a small terrace, which was good as to sit outside for a while and watch the sea, that was right across the street. ||Breakfast was good, a lot to choose from with some typical pastries.||It is a good hotel in a good location, not many amenities, similar to others within the same...
